This #debtfreejourney changes your life. Pre Dave, I would have been HYPE. Today, the thought strikes fear into my budget-loving heart. My heart starts racing as I imagine an entire grocery cart full of chips and beef jerky. Deep down I know he will see that automotive and hunting section and come home with new knives, some windshield washer fluid, 27 bags of chips, more peach yogurt then anyone could eat in a lifetime...... forget my Milk and romaine lettuce.... with a bill in excess of $300. Breathing deeply, ill calmly look at him..... "oh no babe, I can go for you!" Crisis adverted.
Side bar: beef jerky is soooo expensive. Sigh. And this is an exaggeration... I love my husband 😂
Same! I will never understand how sending them for a single ingredient results in a $50 tab. 🤦🏾♀️ I’m like honey...store brands...ever heard of them? Did you really need 5 Monster energy drinks? Why would you come back with baked goods when I bought a cake mix for $0.50 last week? How did you fit aisle 10 in the car? I feel like there should be an academic study on this. So many questions. 😂😂😂.

@bnblackwell13 hahahaha I died. That's amazing... I second that academic study. I would totally support and edit that! 😂
This WAS totally my husband. BUT we started grocery shopping as a family on the weekends and he has seriously come around. Last weekend he got all of our meals for the week for under $100. He was like "dear you were so right about Aldi" and my heart skipped a beat. He definitely gets it now and how stressful it had felt to either be solely responsible for grocery shopping or to know he was going to destroy our budget. Seriously I'd say to try to start shopping together.

OMG - this is my husband. Except he’ll come home with $45 of craft beer plus $200 in groceries and the empty jerky wrappers will be in his car. Prob $25 worth...because he “was hungry and needed a snack”. 😫😠🤮

I'm single so I can't relate. But that shit was funny!
Hahahaha 😂mine ALWAYS grabs 2 of everything and gets random health foods that cost at least 11.99/oz. 🤦♀️ We’ve started shopping together so I can train him as we go 🤣

It's the opposite for us! If I sent my husband to get bread and milk... he will leave the store with just 2 items: bread and milk. 🤣

@savingbythesea what is the deal with guys and their damn beef jerky. Everytime we go to a gas station, my husband buys beef jerky and chips lol.

Yes! One time he came home with $80 of chili and junk food. He told me no one knows how much everything will cost when they get to the checkout.

Yes! This is exactly my life 😑 Love you babe but no, I'll do the shopping! My husband is way better about it than he used to be, but will still just pick the most expensive brand off the shelf claiming "I just picked up what you wanted". I feel so mean when he shops with me because I put back 90% of the items he puts in the cart 😂
