With every movement I make, I aim to become closer to respecting my own intuition. .
The human body is an amazing system and it sends us constant signals for its every need-
But in a world with millions of glittery distractions it's so easy to tune these signals out. .
More than anything else, my motivation to practice yoga, exercise, or take time for any sort of conscious movement is primarily to learn to respect the wishes of my own body.
All other physical and mental benefits are secondary. They will follow. .
I get annoyed with myself thinking about how not too long ago I wouldn’t dare pick up a yoga block, let alone any props.
I thought they were only for those who needed “extra assistance”.
I was very wrong 🤦♀️
Excited to see how much my practice progresses because of this neat tool.

“Don't dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer.”🌼
ouch, ouch, there it is - that feeling
that one you don’t want to feel. that doubt. that insecurity. that sadness. that frustration. that disappointment
feel it. and set yourself free
new moon tonight in capricorn. new moons we go inward. on top of that, we’re in the depths of winter. it’s natures way of saying “hey...come here for a second. sit. let’s go inward. what’s going on in there?”
look at what your theme is right now. in the last five days, I have run into the five best friends of someone I haven’t seen in a while that I once was really close with. because there are no coincidences, when that happens I always think about WHY. in this case, this person brings up feelings of sadness in me for a myriad of reasons. being reminded of them is my soul wanting me to dive deeper into some of those sadder feelings so they can be released
the capacity for joy, bliss and a wildly positive outlook on life comes from the ability to invite in, hold, and release uncomfortable feelings too. all feelings are just feelings. all are messengers of where the work is for you right now. you’re just in a stage of the process. now sit, breathe and let yourself be moved ✨
Love you, C
It’s time. We all have the same amount of time. No one has more. No one has less. But energy, well that’s a different story. If you’re someone who says I don’t have time to make a change, what you probably mean is you don’t have the energy to. It’s time to change that.
Tomorrow begins the first ever LIVE SUPERHUMAN Online Course. It will teach you how to build your energy, so the next time you say you don’t have time, it’s because you really don’t have the time.
This course utilizes things you already do, like eat, sleep, breathe and move. It will give you some new perspective and guidance on those things, and throw in a few more goodies. So don’t waste anymore time, because time is energy and you need your energy. Sign up now. www.livesuperhuman.com or go to link in my profile.

Day 7 of #mantras4thenewyear
I Am Grounded in #adhomukavrksasana.
As an air sign I’m super flighty and naturally ungrounded unless I focus my attention on bringing myself back down to the Earth and to my center. These past few days have been such a rollercoaster for me, but a beautiful lesson.
•Never leave myself behind.•
Breathe and meditate to return back to my Center, my Self, and ground into Mother 🌏 energy.
My “slow” flow from this morning. 45 mins down to one and set to music to make it less boring. 😂 you might notice I kept going back to essentially the same poses throughout. I just did what felt good today. #yoga
“Change is not something that we should fear. Rather, it is something that we should welcome. For without change, nothing in this world would ever grow or blossom, and no one in this world would ever move forward to become the person they’re meant to be.”🍁

Day 7 of my yoga teacher training already! My days consists of practising cleansing and breathing techniques, meditation, yoga (duh), philosophy lectures, asana clinics and some more yoga. And homework in the evening. 🤓 I'm glad that while studying medicine I learned how to remember all kinds of facts because it really helps me to get all the sanskrit, sequences and cues into my head. Excited for another day!
"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."
Day 14 of #30dayyogaliving with @kinoyoga and @omstarsofficial was about happiness. I found Rob’s class so inspiring and interesting, especially since I’ve really struggled this past year with feeling happy. I’ve been struggling to find my way back to myself and who I really am, and want to be. It’s only in the last couple of weeks that I’ve actually felt like me again, like someone who has something good to offer to the world around me.

🎡📆🎁Days 11, 12, 13, 14 of #AYearOfYoga2018 🔀 🎁📆🎡 #tittibhasanab, #ekapadasirsasana, #samakonasana and #kapotasana. No real progress in any of these this year as I don’t practice any of these regularly. However hips are more open for the leg behind the head this year (I am straighter up in my stance and less hunched over) and my back ending has gotten better this year for sure. My samakonasana is worse, and I’m ok with that. LOL. 🤷🏻♀️
Be Great ✨

Be a great human. A great person. Do good things in the world. You have greatness inside of you, don’t forget it 👊👊

currently home again tucked in bed ready to sleep 😴 i had the most amazing weekend ever in Paris, it‘s funny because in the past four years i‘ve been in Paris four times and i never „loved“ it - like obviously it‘s a stunning city but it never really clicked. BUT THIS TIME - i had so much fun! standing in line to go up the Eiffel Tower at 10pm, talking with random people while waiting, drinking all the coffee and red wine, eating at cute cafés, taking yoga pictures in the cold, talking about all the self improvement podcasts with @sarahticha and @zgung, learning about bandhas and flexibility with @talia_sutra and most important of all: spending 3 days with like-minded people. i haven‘t laughed and enjoyed myself this much in a long time 😂👌🏼 Paris, i‘ll see you soon. ❤️ 📷 @zgung ofc.

I took this photo on April 1st, 2017, while visiting the fam in #NewHampshire. I was two months into my yoga practice, addicted to posting daily yoga photos, and hadn’t warmed up before running out into the #snowfall first thing in the morning and sinking into this deep #hamstringstretch. My dad saw me and yelled, “What are you DOING?!,” through the porch door, to which I yelled back, “YOGA CHALLENGE!,” which clarified nothing.
I definitely do not recommend being this careless with one’s body; my hamstrings were strained for the next several months. On the flip side, an incredible photographer, @pketron, selected this photo for inclusion in @myfilmnorth’s “The N°rth,” a Mobile Photography Exhibition in Saint Paul, Minnesota opening today and running through February 6th! If you happen to be in MN, swing through and let me know if this shot was worth 4-5 months of uncomfortable #forwardfolds. 😩😆 As is only appropriate, it’s entitled, “What are you DOING?!”
