Well today the ladies and I got at least one beautiful Drake! We didn’t have luck yesterday but I still consider it a win, because of the bonding and the stories shared while hunting and getting to be outdoors and admire Gods handiwork is priceless. Proud that we can go out and do everything from start to finish, makes it all worth it. Now back to work and dreaming of more hunting until next time! #girlshuntingtrip#huntress#womenwhohunt#drakewaterfowl

Today was absolutely wonderful and a day I’ll never forget. I said I wouldn’t post about my hawk until our first successful hunt. Well, today was not only my first time flying him free, but we also got our first kill! My excitement was unmatched and I’m so proud of him! I’m also incredibly thankful for my amazing sponsor who made it all possible and who has taught me so much. I couldn’t have asked for a better early birthday celebration. This is only the beginning and I look forward to many, many more hunts! ❤️
Me: “Do you want to shake John’s present and try to guess what it is?”
A: “I know. It’s underwear.”

Day 3, the final day of our hunt, my guide @hhopkins338 and I headed out early in search of a Muley. He spotted one on a mountainside, it was time to start the stalk. A climb and a 200 yard shot my Muley was down. After some work it was time to pack out, thought I would give it a try but it seems I may need to hit the gym some more. Once loaded up, the pack was nearly 100lbs, I would have probably tumbled down the mountain carrying that. Very thankful for an awesome guide, he taught me a lot about west TX mule deer hunting and I had an amazing time. I knew my guide was cool from the start... Hop in the truck to find his truck gun and trusted guide gun to have on hand was a Marlin lever action. #goodoltxboys
By lunch Eric and I both had our mule deers so the group was tagged out but not done hunting. We headed out for an afternoon of hog hunting, took care of a few for the rancher.
