Didn't run today but here is the race results from my recent New Years Race 9.3 Challenge. Ran it at my "having fun" Pace to enjoy DTLA at night! My fav race, 3medals! My 4th year doing it & I already signed up for next year 2019! #newyearsrace
It might b a cliche....but as the road unfolds I realise that most cliches r true .... #try This intervals training was supposed to be my Monday workout ... I postponed it due to itb pains ... the following day I woke up for my run not sure what I am going to do ... I decided to go and see how it feels along the way.... so I gave it a try .... and I did it!!!! I am not sure if the pain I felt was not a reflection of my fear of intervals .....apparently all we need to do is take the first step .... the rest will follow.... #iloverunning
Let’s be real here: not every run is going to be full of glamour, and there’s often a lot of pavements involved! I love watching the world when I’m out on my runs although it’s often limited to dog walkers and the occasional cyclist but it’s nice to add a boat to the mix! 🚢

A beautiful morning for a run made even better when cruising with my run buddy! 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏻♀️She keeps me motivated and consistent, and I love that we started our run journey together only a few years ago. We’ve progressed from having to stop 5 times over 1km, to now running half marathons! 😅 (If we can do it, anyone can!) Gelaufen wird bei mir mittlerweile auch an Tagen, wo ich es mir viel gemütlicher auf der Couch machen könnte. Viele Freunde und Arbeitskollegen lächeln nur milde, wenn ich erzähle, dass ich bei Regen und Wind laufen war. "Schon wieder gelaufen? Wieso nur?" 😉 Aber 👉 die meisten finden es klasse.
Viele können das einfach nicht verstehen, wieso ich mich freiwillig nass regnen lasse oder im Dunkeln durch die Gegend renne. Für mich gehört das Laufen zu meinem Alltag dazu. Es ist mein Hobby und ich kann es wunderbar in meinem Tag integrieren. Daher kommt der 🐷🐕 kaum noch vorbei.
Wie sieht das bei Euch aus? Ist das Laufen bei Euch auch so in Eurem Alltag integriert?

Exciting news!!! Kenneth entered his name in the #leadville100 lottery and got in!!!! I am SO excited for him!! 😍
Also, today ended up being an unplanned rest day! Life happened, work happened, sleeping in happened. 🤣 I pretty much didn’t plan ahead and ended up spending time with Kenneth when Ellie went to bed, and I don’t regret a single minute! 🤗
Double run Thursday with my main squeeze 🐶 We couldn’t stay away from this weather after running on the treadmill for a week!! 😍

It’s Friday, yo! 😆 6 mile tempo run (1 up, 4 at 8:41, 1 down) at the gym. Next up is an hour of 🧘♀️ yoga. It always feels the best after a run! Run was great...really loving my new #brooksadrenaline 18’s! I needed this run today as I’ve been in a slump as far as feel goes lately, but it always comes back so I’m here keeping on! #relentless 👊 — BTW my Garmin foot pod is pretty accurate now! Only .03 off from treadmill today! 🎉🎉🎉
So excited for the rest of the day...checking out a boat tonight! 🙌 After moving closer to the lakeshore, we decided it would be a great family activity for the summer that wouldn’t require packing up the dog, a weekend worth of food, and extra clothing like we have to do to go up north to my in-laws cottage (over the hassle!). So, we’re selling our pontoon boat for something that won’t get swallowed up by the waves on the big lake. Can’t wait for summer on Lake Michigan!!!! 😍🎉☀️⚓️🌊
I almost didn’t post this picture. 🙅🏻♀️ My running / eating healthy game has not been on point lately... like not at all! Yes, I totally just completed the @hotchocolate15k, but did you notice that I paced the walking pace?! I can not expect to stay fit by eating junk and not running. I’m not saying this to get comments like, “You look great,” but instead, to show that I’m real! I struggle. I cry. I have moments where my running clothes fit too tight and I eat all of the chocolate in sight. 🍫 BUT I refuse to live in shame. I am not defined by my weight, my pictures, nor by anyone else other than my Heavenly Father! Remember friend, you too are not defined by your running times, the number on the scale, nor the size of your pants. 💕

Also excited because I haven’t run-commuted for ages. I won’t be able to use the trail path as it’ll be dark but I found a route that goes along the main road and is only 6 miles!
Great start to the weekend - AND our running club is doing a volunteer takeover at parkrun tomorrow. I’ll be timekeeper at Eastville Park. Cant wait! 🏃🏼♀️

Flashback Friday to my last race of 2017, a frosty Mince Pi Run. A true all terrain race with all sorts of obstacles provided by mother nature, ice, mud, slippery grass, technical trails etc. The temperature was the least of my worries but it made me appreciate those who run in some crazy temp up in Canada or other places (-40C!!!!) if you don't follow @runfoxxirun yet then you should, she goes out running in the most extreme temperatures in the Canadian tundra, plus she is an entertaining nutter 😉😉😉 #flashbackfriday#winterrun

Work trips when I travel alone make me reflect on so many decisions in my life because I have more time to think, while most people would probably love that, it drives me crazy to be alone and out of my routine. But this whole week I’ve been thinking about the choices I’ve made to take me to where I am today.... professionally and personally. So many people may think I’m crazy for being in Vegas and getting up early to run.. that’s what I love and I had a BLAST on this run today! ❤️🖤 BEST people watching ever! ~
