W5D4: 15 min easy, 15 min pace, 15 min tempo with one min cool down in between. .
That run sucked. I was so close to five miles when I finished the set that I continued until I saw the magic number five on my treadmill screen. There was nothing enjoyable about this run tonight unfortunately. But we all have bad runs every now and then. The good: 5 miles added to the bank! Now onto strength training! 💪
🏃🏼♀️ Let’s RUN into SPRING! 🏃🏼♀️ Happy first day of Spring and March Equinox! 🌸 Utah still feels on the chilly side, but I’m ready for the warm weather! I had a 45 min run (5.30 - 8:29 average pace) and a 2300 yard swim (35:11 - 1:31 average pace) today but decided that this picture from this summer would be more spring like then my treadmill/pool workout. 😆 I’m so happy to be back tri training to get ready for my Spring Ironman 70.3! .
And I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you for your sweet messages in my story yesterday. Life has had same downs lately and hearing all of your messages of how I’ve encouraged you really warmed my heart to tears! Thank you! I love the support of the running/tri/fitness community so much! Y’all are the best!! 💪🏻❤️ .
Also thank you to @monitorthebeat and @i12run2 for the reposts this week! #happyspringequinox#garminambassador#beatyesterday
If I knew how to ride a bike, I would ride one like this. 😍🌸 #restday

4 miles on the wonderful spring afternoon. Dragged the hubs and the kid with me! My warm up stunk this time but once I got going I felt good. My feet are a bit tired from working all day but I’m not complaining! I did 10 miles at my goal pace and it was easier than I expected it to be. I just felt like everything clicked today. Hope everyone had a great Tuesday! In other news this weekend was crazy! The little guy turned 3 on Sunday so we spent the weekend getting ready for his party!

Two-a-day Tuesday! This morning was a chest, shoulder, triceps workout. And tonight was a super hilly 4 mile run with #lifetimerunlenexa ....hills are soooo much better with a running friend that keeps reassuring me we are “almost to the top”! Thanks @amymkan ! That wraps it up! Bed time. 😴😴😴
“I feel just like a sailboat:
I don't know where I'm headed.
But you can't make the wind blow
From a sailboat.
I’ve seen the sun,
Felt the rain on my skin.
I've been lost and found,
But mostly I've been waiting.
Oh I'm out in the waves,
And I’m hoping and praying
Please let this wind blow me home.
Night after night there's an empty horizon.
My God do I feel so alone.
And most times I,
Feel just like a sailboat...”

Some days you just don’t have it in you. Today was one of those days for me. I started this speed workout on the struggle bus, and by the time I got halfway through my fifth repeat I was having trouble breathing and feeling like I was running at 100% max. Not. Good. 😫 I did a .5 mile cool down, called it quits, and tried to regulate my breathing. Seconds after getting into the bathroom I just started bawling. Turns out I was (am) overwhelmed by a lot at the moment, and it manifested as an almost panic attack during my run. 😕 Needless to say, I’m hoping to get some rest and relaxation soon so I can avoid that happening EVER again. 🤞🏽Hope y’all had a better workout than me, #fitfam!

I had my final meeting with my Run Coach today until @bostonmarathon. Since I bombed on my 18- miler last week, I got a chance to reflect a lot from the failure with him, adjust for the week and discuss life after Boston.
This week is an “easy” week for me to prepare me for a hard week for me on next week. Easy weeks are physically easy but emotionally harder as the focus is on recovery and restoration. In order for me to achieve and go to the next level, I have to LET GO completely. This is truly restoration. (Dual meaning on this if you catch it.)
Tonight I am back in the sauna for about an hour. I do some meditaion via @headspace app, read my current book and two rounds of deep stretching. .
My attire is just shorts and a medium-impact bra. Before losing weight, I used to cover up but yal it is just to hot for all that and honestly no one cares about your rolls or dents ....so #teamsportsbra 🤷🏽♀️🙌🏽
I am in @brookswomen Fastforward Crossback. It is my go-to bra for non & post running. It is both cute (that matters!!) includes adjustable straps and gives me enough support for simple yoga movements. Some of you can actually run in this bra but I am beyond blessed in this area so this is a no-no for running. It goes up to XXL, which is up to a 40. For sport bra tips don’t forget about my guide. link in bio. #alexboston2018

🏔 PEAK WEEK 🏔
This is "peak week" for me, where my runs are the longest they've been in this training session and my legs are going to be pretty tired! 😴 Coming off of a 10km PR only motivates me to keep working harder because I know I can chip even more time off of that by the end of this training!! ⌚ It may seem daunting the distances and paces I need to try to hit this week, but if I have learned anything over the past few months, it's that I am capable of whatever I put my mind to, and it always starts with taking that first step and getting out there!
What challenges and mountains seem daunting to you this week? What are you doing to face them and not run away? Choose to be stronger because of whatever "it" is!
WU: leg weights + .5mi at 10:20 pace
SPEED: 8 x 400m (8:20, 8:13, 8:06, 8:00, 7:53, 7:47, 7:41, 7:35)
CD: .5 mi at 10:20 pace
Total = 5 miles
The weather has been a bit wild today with severe thunderstorms 🌩⛈ and gusty winds 🌬🌬 But I was able to sneak out for a few miles during a lull. My first time doing mile repeats in foreverrrrrr! 1 mile up @ 7:29 then two mile repeats (6:56, 6:57) with .10 recovery in between 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 #instarunners#motherrunner#runlikeagirl
The uterus🌺 is truly an under appreciated organ; apart from growing a human being🤰, the uterus is the only organ in the body that can produce a new organ from scratch – the placenta. The muscles of this uterus are the strongest in the body, yet, due to our faulty lifestyle choices, bad nutrition and sedentary habits, we end up doing a lot of damage to it. It’s no surprise that incidences of hysterectomies and c-sections have gone up considerably. A strong uterus is, therefore, important for your overall health, fertility and longevity.
Take care of your #Uterus, keep it strong💪🏻💪🏾💪🏿! Practice #Vumbuilding ❤️ with us and stay #Healthy .

Competitive! Any one who knows me, knows that I’m competitive. And it is this competitive nature that made me race an 100m sprint against my partner two and a half years ago. When he was super fit and training hard and I hadn’t yet found my love for running and was well, very unfit. As you can imagine he won... by at least 10m.
It was also this competitive nature that decided on Monday night, whilst on a date with him strolling down the beach in skinny jeans and a nice shirt that I’d try a 50m sprint against him. This was the first time we had raced in 2 and a half years. And was also the first time that both of us had no running condition. He couldn’t believe it when we tied. I then decided we should try for the 100m again. He won, but only by a meter. It’s small moments like this that help encourage you to push yourself to keep trying and training. One day il bet him!
Behind the scenes🤣👉🏽/ Hvem tager mine billeder?
