4 miles on the wonderful spring afternoon. Dragged the hubs and the kid with me! My warm up stunk this time but once I got going I felt good. My feet are a bit tired from working all day but I’m not complaining! I did 10 miles at my goal pace and it was easier than I expected it to be. I just felt like everything clicked today. Hope everyone had a great Tuesday! In other news this weekend was crazy! The little guy turned 3 on Sunday so we spent the weekend getting ready for his party!
This is the only picture I took during this evening’s long run. He was wondering why we had to wait to cross the street! 11 miles is my longest yet! Lots of stretching and self care tonight! #sore oh, and in case you were wondering, Max is still not tired out. He is full of energy!!
I had a donut today (two🍩🍩) and they were ducking (🦆?)delicious i am not on a diet and i certainly don’t have them every day, but why not let yourself enjoy something and give yourself even more motivation to exercise? #worthit#willrunfordonuts

I had my final meeting with my Run Coach today until @bostonmarathon. Since I bombed on my 18- miler last week, I got a chance to reflect a lot from the failure with him, adjust for the week and discuss life after Boston.
This week is an “easy” week for me to prepare me for a hard week for me on next week. Easy weeks are physically easy but emotionally harder as the focus is on recovery and restoration. In order for me to achieve and go to the next level, I have to LET GO completely. This is truly restoration. (Dual meaning on this if you catch it.)
Tonight I am back in the sauna for about an hour. I do some meditaion via @headspace app, read my current book and two rounds of deep stretching. .
My attire is just shorts and a medium-impact bra. Before losing weight, I used to cover up but yal it is just to hot for all that and honestly no one cares about your rolls or dents ....so #teamsportsbra 🤷🏽♀️🙌🏽
I am in @brookswomen Fastforward Crossback. It is my go-to bra for non & post running. It is both cute (that matters!!) includes adjustable straps and gives me enough support for simple yoga movements. Some of you can actually run in this bra but I am beyond blessed in this area so this is a no-no for running. It goes up to XXL, which is up to a 40. For sport bra tips don’t forget about my guide. link in bio. #alexboston2018
A few weeks ago the good folks of @uarunning let myself and the homies @riotsquadrunning try out their new shoe The HOVR phantom and Sonic. And after a few weeks of test driving here's what I thought:
1) I'm a snobby runner. The colors I wanted in Women's were all sold out. I wear a 10 in running shoes and these are a men size 8z. They're true to size
2) I have no arch. The flattest of flat feet. These are actually pretty supportive without being overly bulky. The heel cushioning is nice and the shoe itself is really flexible.
3) It's a fast shoe. It's light. It mimics a minimalist shoe but gives enough support for neutral riders like myself
4) They don't take long to break in. I took these out 4 times up to 4 miles. Then did a half.YOLO 🤣
5) They look good. Again I'm a snobby runner. Priorities. 💅🏽Lol
Nicely done @underarmour . Nicely done. 👏🏾👏🏾
🧘🏻♀️ Got that yoga session in that I promised myself. Was so determined to just do it that I didn’t bother changing my clothes. I knew I had to get started as soon as I found the motivation to do it and within the first few minutes I was feeling so much better🌈 #idecidemyvibe#tuesday

Hello, sunshine!! 😎 We still have a way to go to get rid of all the snow, but the weather has been gorgeous in the afternoons lately! I took advantage with my favourite sidekick, before her brother and sisters get home from school and mom’s taxi service begins! 🚕.
“Hey you! Yes you, stop being unhappy with yourself. You are perfect. Stop wishing you looked like someone else or wishing people liked you as much as they like someone else. Stop trying to get attention from those who hurt you. Stop hating your body, your face, your personality, your quirks. Love them. Without those things you wouldn’t be you. And why would you want to be anyone else? Be confident with who you are. Smile. It’ll draw people in. If anyone hates on you because you are happy with yourself then you stick your middle finger in the air and say screw it. My happiness will not depend on others anymore. I’m happy because I love who I am. I love my flaws. I love my imperfections. They make me me. And ‘me’ is pretty amazing!”- Unknown
7 years ago I started running to train for my first 1/2 marathon as a milestone birthday approached, it was a bucket list...what I didn’t know when I started running was how it would make me feel and how far I would come.
Some would say I became obsessed, but what I became was a different person with a passion for something I never felt before. I became confident, I became proud of achieving something I never thought possible and most importantly I became comfortable and happy in my own skin.
It ignited a fire under me to keep setting goals for myself. With my love for running, and passion for fashion, it enabled me to create Stiletto Running. A brand that stands for empowering women, for women to love themselves, love their bodies they live in, believe in themselves and to inspire others.
This is not being obsessed, this is not narcissistic, this is self love...proud of who I am, proud of who I have become and proud of where I’m going. I love my body and what it does for me. It has carried me across so many finish lines and made me proud.
I won’t apologize for being me, a girl that is passionate about where she was and where she is. 🏃🏻♀️💪🏼🏃🏻♀️💪🏼🏃🏻♀️💪🏼🏃🏻♀️💪🏼🏃🏻♀️💪🏼
Whenever I get upset for what someone might have to say about me, I remember that it takes 42 muscles to frown and only 4 to stick up my middle finger - John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls)
Ok so Captain Raynaud's here had to remove her gloves during this evening's run so I officially declare SPRING!
Today is International Day of Happiness ... so naturally I woke up in the worst mood, didn't go for my morning run and grumped all day.
Gave myself a kick up the arse and head outside for a solo session. 1M warm-up, 3 progressive laps of the park, 2M cool down.
Wore the wrong shoes for a speed session but still managed some decent splits and feel a million times better👍🏻
The power of women united:
‘It’s shown me that it only takes one or two people who truly believe to share that dream, and when we all work together, and work our hardest we can make that dream come true.
For me, the season has been about a team with a dream, the courage to pursue that dream, and most importantly a love and experience that was shared all around and will never be forgotten.’

“You might have to fight a battle more than once to win it.”👊🏼
Love this quote! Sometimes it takes more than one time to reach a goal — sometimes it takes falling down 10 times and getting back up to reach our goals. Sometimes we get to show up, put in the effort and surprise ourselves. Never give up friends, even if you have to fall down 100 times and get back up, with determination, hard work and perseverance — YOU ARE capable of your goals ! 🙌🏼
Happy Monday Friends! 400s for today and it has literally been MONTHS since the last time I did 400s. I’ll post later in my stories comparison — but so happy to see the progress being made! The 400s actually felt really good which surprised me and I was happy about. Hope everyone has a wonderful start to their week!
