"Switchback Ridge | Petite Syrah | 2003 "Aromas of violets, ripe blackberry, raspberry, cotton candy, spices, hint of vegetal, shaved pencil, dark earth, and oak. On the palate, medium-full bodied, a lot of tannins, blackberry, raspberry, cassis, chocolate, coffee bean tobacco, vanilla, spices, with a medium/long finish. Among the three varietals (CS, Merlot and PS) from Switchback Ridge, their Petite Syrah is a wine that can last three decades easily. So much potential.” WC 92 Points | Reviewed: 11.15.17 | Drink now through 2035 | $100 | 14.8% | Petite Syrah| Spirit & Company

Restaurant style hamburger you can make at home 🍔 Just make make sure you have the right wine to got with it. May we suggest a Brunello di Montalcino 2012 Castiglion del Bosco. This wine has received great reviews across the board. •

'This shows pure and fresh fruit that many others don't have. Also there are plenty of linear tannins. Precise and beautiful. Medium to full body. Persistent finish. Better in 2019.'
Score - Wine Spectator- 94 - •
'A bright cherry-laced red accented by iron earth tar and tobacco notes. Though lean and tight on the finish this is lively with a lingering aftertaste of cherry tobacco and mineral. Best from 2019 through 2032.'

'The Castiglion del Bosco 2012 Brunello di Montalcino exhibits classic lines and aromas that are faithfully characteristic of Tuscany's Sangiovese grape... There's a lot to keep your attention.'
Castiglion del Bosco is one of the oldest estates in Tuscany located on the Via Francigena route to Rome it has has a rich history. With 125 acres of vines the property is perched on a hill looking down onto the surrounding valleys and the vineyards have optimal exposure. It was one of the founding members of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino in the 1960's and it is believed that Ferrucio Biondi Santi resided there in the 1880's when he was isolating the Sangiovese clone that became Brunello. This estate prides itself on quality and respect for tradition. Winemaker Claudio Basla from Altesino consults at Castiglion del Bosco and made this outstanding 2010.

2013 - VS Syrah, Alessandro Vineyard (91 Editors' Choice)
This is a fascinating wine in that it delivers all of the components of a cool-climate Syrah from what is considered a warm-weather region. Black pepper, tar, charred game, cola and lavender show on the nose, while the palate offers roasted lamb, more pepper and crushed asphalt. It's relatively light in body as well. - M.K., Wine Enthusiast Magazine
2013 - VS Merlot, Los Caballos Vineyard
Wine Enthusiast - “Candied blueberry, vanilla bean, dried dill and anise make for a very approachable and layered nose on this bottling from winemaker Tim Kramer, a mentor to many in the region. Ripe black fruit, licorice spice and shaved chocolate show on the sip, where soft tannins and balanced acidity lead into a chalky finish.” - M.K., Wine Enthusiast Magazine
2013 VS Merlot, Los Caballos Vineyard 100% Merlot Temecula Valley Aged in 100% French Oak for 24 Months Well balanced and beautifully structured, with concentrated layers of black currant and black cherry complemented by earthy aromas typical of this vineyard. Subtle nuances of tobacco and vanilla develop through a long, velvety finish.
