My first double digit run since the marathon and it felt amazing -- the weather and the legs! More importantly, I found the biggest leaf I have ever seen in my life in my last mile! 😂 Granted I have a q-tip head, but that is a big ass leaf! 🤣🍁 #NoOffSeason#bebetter
16 blustery miles! 💨 I’m so thankful I got to run some of them with @run.with.kimberly + @runlikemike - running with friends is the best! 💚 The last two weeks of training have been super strong for me and now it’s taper time for #RunCIM! 🏃🏼♀️ No matter what happens on race day, I am proud of how I’ve grown physically and mentally during this training cycle! As my husband/coach says, “The hay is in the barn!” 👊🏻
If you PLAY HARD, you get to WORK HARD...or is it the other way around?🤔. After all the hard work, early mornings, intense training, running, #wheaties and catching up on current #memes late night, I was finally able to get my pace down to 15 #dadjokes per mile! With that I was chosen over a massive field of 1 and due to some disqualifications and left over Halloween accessories, given quite possibly the most important award EVER from @inlandempirerunningclub - Top Educator. Wait..it’s entertainer? Whatevs same thing.
While my run sucked...mornings with them do not.

Tomorrow I race another Philadelphia half marathon. As many people know, I got food poisoning on the way home from vacation 2 weeks ago and haven't fully recovered yet. Won't be my fastest half but any finish you cross injury free is a success.

Let your smile change the world... but don’t ever let the world change your smile.... It’s finally Friday... WE MADE IT! It’s been a super long week for me... trying to play catch up with my normal life... but I think I’m good now... I mean... I got 10 hours of sleep... so at least I feel good! I got my run done first thing ... and I obviously got dressed in the darkness because my whole matching game is way off.... which throws me off a bit... BUTTT... I just ran 5 miles of hill repeats in the sprinkles ... and I’m still smiling... so there’s that... and I still have a trail run lined up for later... so life is good and I AM HAPPY! Day 17 of the - #holidaySTREAK and Day 536 of my personal run streak! Have a great weekend... Today was SO fun!! Went out for an easy run, starting out with music and on the same paths as usual. But then, spontaneity hit me and it was pure magic from there!
Shut off the music and took an unmarked side trail that I've been wanting to explore for months. Ran by some fracking stations (don't even get me started on my opinions of fracking😝) and found some cow farms I never even knew existed. Ran through fields with no trails and got lost in the colors of that big Colorado sky!! No lie, it was a blast and I enjoyed every moment!
I'm loving this 'no pressure' approach to running lately. Training for races is definitely fun and rewarding in many ways, but running for fun is so good for the soul. 💚

Easy 14k run this morning with not the best weather, but at least it didn‘t rain☁️
