🌱Vegan Protein Sources 🌱
Recommended Daily Protein: 46g woman/56g woman
Average Protein Shake:
Lentils 1 cup
Edamame 1 cup
Chickpeas 1 cup
Almonds quarter cup
Quinoa 1 cup
Protein shakes are a popular way to get your daily protein, or make sure you are getting enough, as they are quick and convenient for many. However.. the Protein Shake is just for references, as, as this picture shows, there's also an amazingly abundant source of high proteins from whole foods like quinoa, lentils, beans, nuts, seeds, nutritional yeast... the list goes ON😍
A lot of information out there pushes dairy, meat, fish sources for protein. This posts aims to show that you have many plant based options as well👌🏼🌱🌱
I am not Vegan, but I have friends who are, and they are often questioned if they "are eating enough protein"?! So this post just shows a fraction of the wholefoods protein sources available!
A minimum 0.36g of Protein is recommended per pound of body weight. Your daily protein needs though truly depend on your body type and fitness goals🏋🏻♀️
Nothing in life is a failure. Everything that comes to life is the result of a decision that was made by you or someone that surrounds you. You entirely decide your fate. You can let things be negative or you can let things be positive. You can let yourself become the best or you can fall from the things that haunt you. If you want something bad enough you will make decisions and create actions in that direction. If you only think negative then all that you will see will be negative. Try thinking or planning out what you want in life; what makes you happy, what you need to be happy, weather it be money, love or family strive towards this and all that you do will lead towards this outcome. Tony Robbins one of my favourite motivational speakers tells us that what you want is what you get; what you put effort into is what will grow.
So put it out to the world, show us what you want and let us help and watch you grow.
I’ve always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives and In all honesty if I didn’t have to pay bills I would happily personal train people that I know deserve my time. I believe everyone has the power to succeed it just needs to be sourced. Be confident in who you are, don’t take your ideas to the grave cause many people have.
Was feeling salty after last weekend when I couldn’t even budge 518 off the ground so decided to do a last minute “deadlift demo” at an unsanctioned meet at my friends gym today. Weight felt light on my hands but ripped pretty bad at the top. I can finally go to sleep knowing I left it ALL on the platform. I’m officially ready to move on from this year and this last prep, take some time off competition prep and bring a stronger package to the platform in 2018. Let’s do this.
My back used to be my biggest hate when wearing gym tops because my skin would roll around them HAHA 🤷🏻♀️🙃 So I’ve been trying to tone it up - doing a lot of reps on a lower weight it perfect for me at the moment 🙌🏼 Here is a few back and shoulder exercises that I tried out today to help tone and shape my bod to move towards feeling fit for summer 💦⚡️Complete outfit from @musclerepublicapparel 🕺🏻

“'It’s impossible,' said pride. ‘It’s risky,' said experience. ‘It’s pointless,' said reason. ‘Give it a try,' whispered the heart.” ~Unknown
The idea of who I “thought” I should be once immobilized me. I knew what I should have done and it deeply hurt me to know I didn’t get it right. I should have gone to college sooner. I should not have gotten married so young before I knew myself. I wasn’t supposed to get divorced. I never should have trusted so and so. I wish I had focused more on building myself in my younger years rather than trying to please others... the conversations I had with this version of me that “should have been” was once so discouraging that I couldn’t see out of my own doubt and shame.
When I stopped stifling my own progress by those agreements I realized something profound... take a few hours to study the very ones you admire most and you’ll learn we all have a commonality. The road to the most freedom of self and most purposeful life stories are paved with many of the same missteps and seasons of doubt and pain that we all face. I was not “so special” to glorify and cling to my struggles is what I learned! The road to success truly is paved by failures. And success being much more than a financial state, I realized it was more myself standing in the way of progress than any past failures. That set me free... little by little I stepped out of the shadows of my fear to find the woman I wanted to become.
