Becoming a great senior developer is all about solving problems 👨🏻💻 At that point, it’s not as much about the code we write as it is about our analytical skills when it comes to understanding businesses and their problems 🕵🏻♂️ The day to day work of a modern developer makes us overall better and more structured thinkers 🧠 Even if we decide to switch paths later on, the skills we’ve gained can be applied in a huge variety of domains and that can’t be said for every occupation. We can now even see a clear trend of developers becoming amazing business leaders and venture capitalists. These are truly wonderful times to be a developer! ❤️
Since 2000, our Senior Designer Ollie has been helping Fusion deliver excellence in both design and front end development. Plus, he’s a master at the Rubik’s cube.
What do you love about your job?
Making a thing that people can interact with, out of nothing but keypresses, still feels like magic that belongs in the future.
What would we find on your desk?
A fruit sticker festooned flotsum, pixel shavings; an assortment of braces and brackets, and a Rubik’s cube – usually completed.
If you had a superpower what would it be?
My superpower would be to transform any pair of shoes into my size.
What is a learning you gained through working at Fusion?
Learning is a side effect of stubbornly pursued purpose.
Is there a start-up or digital brand that you would recommend people to check out?

Fruity Ice Delights with our General Manger Karen
One of my favourite ways to cool down on hot summer nights is to liven up my drinks with refreshing fruity ice cubes. Floating slices of lemon, mint or strawberries frozen in a muf n tray makes larger ice cubes that keep things cool longer and add extra avour to drinks.
How about some Sangria?
The easiest way to make sangria is to put equal amounts of red table wine and Italian soda water into a jug with your fancy ice-cubes and some frozen fruit. Delicious, bubbly and refreshing.
Welcome to summer!

We’re hiring an intermediate developer! •
Familiarity with native mobile development in either Java, Swift or Kotlin; API integration with RESTful services, push notifications, and finally SQL database backend work. In short, Calico is looking for a "full-stack" developer. •

When the hotel has a desk and a comfortable chair. The night is all set. Watching @fullsnack_developer live and going on with my side projects, the kind of projects that prefer to use for trying new stuff. I'm starting to learn a lot about angular4 and typescript. Actually like it!
Just uploaded our new Case Study about our most recent client. Check it out on our website, link in the bio. Do let us know what you've been working on!
Sometimes it gets rough, but a happy client is the most rewarding feeling you'll experience as an agency.
What has been your recent accomplishment? If the answer is non, you need to make a change, not tomorrow, but today! Get on with the hustle!💪
