Temps in the 80’s.
The end of a three day weekend and first day back at work.
Had a high carb day, which helped nail a good long nap to be wakes up to a cool, and gorgeous hail storm. Half the sky was gloomy white, grey, and the other side was open sunny skies.
I decided to go out barefoot and enjoy the hail bath while doing some grounding. It may sound silly but it was nice, refreshing, and definitely woke me up! 😂
So the inner child in me was curious if it’s safe to eat hail. I know when I was a kid I ate that fresh new fluffy snow and later found out it was as bad, but I’m still here! And unfortunately I did not get any cool “X-MEN” gifts. So as I’m out there barefoot enjoying the hail and rain coming down (it really was refreshing, and only felt like an annoying massage I didn’t pay for)I kept wondering can I eat this? Like what if I was Bear Grylls, and needed to survive out in the wild one day? Or can this finally give me the mutant X-treme powers I always wanted as a kid? I don’t know if your not supposed to eat hail so I looked it up.
Interesting I found out it’s not far from the same as snow (Duh!) and would you know;
“At first glance they may look like they have fallen from the sky in a clean and perfect form - but hailstones and clouds are actually filled with bacteria and over 3,000 chemical compounds, scientists revealed today.
The Danish researchers analyzed hailstones recovered after a storm in May 2009 and found that they carried several species of bacteria typically found on plants and almost 3000 different compounds usually found in soil.”
So if you’re in survival mode you might want to boil that ice before you drink it, OR if you’re a bit nutty and adventurous like me you just eat one and see what happens.
Hours later Tasha and I took our nightly stroll, and I so wish I got this from the very beginning. It started out as one main alpha-like howl, and then the others jumped in on the howling. It was so cool! They always howl too when sirens go off! So if you’re in the country walking in the evening, and hear a siren of an ambulance or fire truck keep your ears peeled because more than likely you’ll here coyotes or maybe even wolves going off.
[ Insert smart caption but right I’m just sitting outside my window because it’s raining/Snowing & there’s some thunder. I like the breeze but just watch me get a cold or something 😏⛈🌧❤️🌿🦌] P.S - Still can’t get over the fact about these deers, but it’s my last post about them haha. 🥀🙏🏻
Taking a walk in this shaded forest in Newlands with some flurry friends is just what the doctor ordered!
I much prefer being here rather than a shopping mall on a Saturday.
How about you?
