They tell me: "Crush the desire for Her in your heart!" But I implore thee, oh my Lord, let it grow even stronger…My life shall be sacrificed for Her beauty, my blood shall be spilled freely for Her, and though I burn for Her painfully, like a candle, none of my days shall ever be free of this pain. They told me not to fall in love. Let me love, oh my Lord, love for love's sake, and make my love a hundred times as great as it was before and is. #fujiframez
Anon Pairot’s work for DISINI is only complete when people participate, moving the see-saw in order to view the message on the flag in its centre; he draws a parallel to how a country can only move forward when people take action. We see similarities in MoMA’s recreation of fellow Thai artist Rirkrit Tiravanija’s 1992 piece, Untitled (Free), where people conversed over curry prepared and served by the museum—blurring the distance between artist and viewer, with the participants becoming part of the art itself.
