THINGS ILL NEVER UNDERSTAND:
This is me just washing it and letting it dry. No product. No brushing. Nothing.
Other days it’ll dry with a bunch of straight or half-wavy chunks, or poof out like a poodle. For no reason. It’s never the weather (unless I’m in the southern USA, then it always curls and then slowly grows outward until I have a ‘fro).
Total first world problems here, but I wish I could always count on my hair to dry like this 🤣
Anyone else have hair with its own agenda?

Today is my 1 year Maui-versary.
I’ve lived in Hawai’i for one year. Me!
The gal with no tenacity. The one who stayed in a terrible relationship for far too long because she didn’t think she could get out. The one who almost wasted away at a mall chain salon. The one who is still a square and is afraid to get in trouble for breaking a rule. The one who never thought of living outside of Houston until someone asked her where else she wanted to live.
I don’t know how long my life will be but I know that I am doing my best to live it as boldly as I can possibly dream.
My heart is exploding with love for this island and I am just grateful that it accepted me. There is much to do to anchor my place here and many ways in which I need to give back. I know without a doubt this year wouldn’t have been the same without my #runningohana. I am so grateful for every single one of you and can’t wait for more adventures. This is just the beginning!

Lacing up for Ultra training like WHAAAA!? Which 50k should I do!? I was going to do Trailmix until I heard it was 4 loops 😬. I am NOT a loop girl. Drop a suggestion in the comments 👇🏼👇🏻👇🏿👇🏾.
My love for a cheeseburger knows no bounds.
I actually work out and determine if it’s a “cheeseburger” worthy post work out. Post run. Post ski. Post hike. Post elliptical. It’s all about the cheeseburger.
Protein. Carbs. Veggies. Dairy. All in a lovely package. Seriously- you can’t beat it!
Some people run to the chocolate milk. Me? I run to the cheeseburger.
In fact, today post ski I’ll be buying one from the @camdensnowbowl lodge!

I’m thinking I need to up my cycling game. I don’t ride much on the roads but maybe I need a legit road bike for the trainer. 🤔 I could probably ride smoother and faster if I were properly equipped. ⠀

Treadmill hill session. The focus was to keep the heart rate down. It was better. It still wasn't good. My heart rate is natuohigh (I've run a 1:29:42 half marathon at an average of 174 aged 31) so I really struggle. The aim is to adapt so that uphill I'm not hitting those heights. Sub-zero° hill repeats. When I started the sky was navy blue. I watched it go from purple to orange and all of the lavenders and muaves in between as I ran from the valley up to the ridge over and over again. #workoutwednesday#riseandgrind#ultratraining
Stretching. Stretching. Stretching. At the moment that is something I do almost everday, because of the importance! Your body deserves it, no matter if you run a lot or not, it should become a habit after every run you do. Otherwise the risk of being injured would increase. Anyway. I wish you all a good week! 😊
