Just wrapped up the small kitchen add-on for @imperialkb Heres the Baltic Birch drawer with a walnut bottom panel to match the exterior finish with a trash pull out below. Its always tricky matching existing cabinetry, I'm not going to lie but I made some avoidable mistakes on this one, even being that it was a small project. The perception everyone likes to lead on IG is that everything's Great, perfect, goes smoothly. Which in allot of cases it's is and does and I'm guilty of it my self. Yet, sometimes problems arise which is this case made any bit of profit that was intended disappear right out of the window. The only proper way to handle it is to make it right. It that means working long unexpected hours to fix the problems and dipping into your own pocket and spending the money you need to to make the client happy then so be it. The end product is all that matters in my eyes, if it's not up to my standards or my clients then why even bother in this business. Go the extra mile and put the extra time in to make things right and it won't go unrecognized. Transparency, honesty and commitment are key factors in holding a good reputation and lasting relationships. Live up to your word and do the right thing and opportunities will follow. (End rant)

The makita is topping the list at the minute due to the rail system but I've heard really good things about the dewalt as well. All three have there pros and cons but wanted to see if anyone on here had experience with any of them #carpentry#woodworking#building#construction#tradesman#tools#makita#dewalt

Expanding Foam stronger and easier to use than Concrete?! Has anyone ever used Sika’s product, or a product similar?
I’m sure every carpenter has built fence, I know I’ve built enough to build ‘em in my sleep. Sika sets up in 3 minutes, and seems very easy to use as opposed to packing 50lb bags of ‘crete that set up completely in 24 hours.
What are your thoughts on using a foam product like Sika instead of concrete?
