Just because I smile all the time, doesn't mean my life is perfect.
My smile is a symbol of hope an strenght.
Allah give me problems but He also deliver the solution.... MasyaAllah... 😇
Because I believe when Allah get you to it, He will also get you through it ...
❤️ USE WHAT YOU WANT ❤️
My “want” became crystal clear to me at the beginning of my health crisis a few years ago and continues to be the thing that drives me on a day to day basis. I want to have a body that functions in a way that allows me to feel ALIVE and to stay out of hospital as much as possible. If you’ve got a chronic illness or going through a health crisis you’re probably laughing right now because you know how aspirational that want is. It’s the dream goal.
I learned quite quickly on in my recovery that comparing myself and my progress to other people was soul destroying & depressing. Recovery is rehabilitation mentally & physically. I was trying to seek motivation in people that had no similar experiences to myself & couldn’t comprehend what a body has to do just even to be able to learn to walk again. Even if you’re in recovery yourself our journeys aren’t the same, ultimately you can’t compare your progress to anyone but your own.
This process also takes time though. The reality of life like this is one minute you’re up, able to push and the next you’re crippled in pain or losing blood, or utterly exhausted in not a normal way. You feel you’re constantly picking yourself up off the ground, starting all over again. And not in some “oh god I ate so much this weekend” type way. In a “holy f*%k what happens if this is as good as it gets for me? That no matter what the hell I do it’s not going to get better?” Type way.
It sucks with chronic illnesses that you know you’re life is constantly up and down but I tell you now on the days where I’m up I’ve SEIZED it and milked everything out of it. I don’t leave anything on the table. I just don’t anymore because who knows when that next up day is going to come. So that’s my want, that’s what drives me and that’s what keeps me going when things get tough and I’m not sure if I can pick myself back up one more time...because I have done. Every time and I’m proud that I keep on going.
Happy St. Patricks Day! Feeling all the spring feels this morning 🌸 I really had no strict plans for this run. Was feeling unmotivated to do speedwork like I had imagined, so I went with it and did easy Miles. Ended up feeling accomplished and happy with my efforts. Love enjoying the feels of running and soaking up quiet moments (and ending it with a mini hail storm 🙆🏼♀️ 🙈) ALSO- I’m really late to the game, but did you know the AMAZING story of #stpatricksday !?? I’ve always celebrated like the best of them being Irish ☘️ myself, but having become a Christian later in life I have a whole new appreciation for this day!!! #running#runningmom#igrunners#christianrunner#spartansuper#diablogrande#spartanrace#spartantraining
Okay I'm here to push down the untrue facts about that mothers seem to shove down other mothers throats. It's the idea that if you breastfeed all the baby weight will just come off. This is completely untrue for some people and I'll tell you why.
As women are hormones work in crazy ways and they also are completely different from person to person. That's why you can see some women greatly effected by different things in different ways. Example some birth controls may make women gain weight or get bad acne. That's because of the different hormones it's creating.
Now a women breastfeeding also creates different hormones while breastfeeding. So she could create ones that prevent her from losing weight or ones where she just sheds it off.
Hormones have so much to do with weight loss. The truth is I always talk about calorie deficiency and that's how you lose weight, but if your hormones are off then calorie deficiency could mean nothing.
I spend a long 12 months breastfeeding my first wondering why everyone told me that all the weight would just shed off me when I held on to a little mom pooch. I stopped breastfeeding and not even 2 weeks later I had a six pack. That's the power of hormones.
For my @sabry_la:
👉🏻4oz unsweetened baking chocolate 👉🏻1/2cup coconut oil (I’m gonna try 1/4 next time)
👉🏻6 egg whites
👉🏻1/4 tsp salt
👉🏻1/2 cup raw honey
👉🏻4 grams powered stevia
👉🏻1 tsp vanilla extract 👉🏻1/4 cup cacao powder (I’m gonna try 1/8 next time).
🎯Melt chocolate and coconut oil in a small saucepan
🎯While chocolate is melting, whip egg whites w/ salt until frothy. Add honey, stevia, vanilla extract, and cacao powder, continue to whip until just combined
🎯add the melted chocolate to the egg white mixture 🎯divide batter between muffin cups. Bake 15-20 minutes until the center of the mini cakes are just set
🎯dust in “powdered sugar” (1 tbsp arrowroot starch + 1 packet powdered stevia) - I used tapioca starch 😋
Enjoy it, sista! Love you! 😘

I got my workout done...day 56...booty day; way earlier this morning, but have been on the go ever since! 😬
Life gets crazy sometimes, but the feeling of taking a little time in the morning before all the craziness happens just sets my mind right! 😊
Week 1 of phase 3 done, and although challenging, I think it may just be my favorite week thus far! 💪💕👊 Challenges make you uncomfortable, and when you get uncomfortable you grow as a person to become the best version of you...in mind, body and spirit! 😊
What’s challenging you today?! 🤔
Life is good, God is great and I am blessed! 🙏
