I wanted to quit at mile 3 so dang bad y'all. When we started, and all morning, it was total cloud cover and not a speck of wind. It was basically the perfect running weather. And then at mile 3, the clouds disappeared, the full blown sunshine came out, and winds were relentless (hello, look at Emmas hair!). I was soo hot and I told myself stopping at 3 would be totally fine. I hit mile 3 and said to myself "don't you dare quit!" and proceeded to keep going. I said 4 would be totally fine today. I hit mile 4 and again said to myself "oh hell you only have 1 more left, go for it mama!" and when I hit that last mile I was so freaking exhausted, but even more HAPPY that I burst into tears thanking God over and over! I wanted to give up on myself today, but God would not let me and I am SO glad I didn't! Oh and I ran at noon today, so I not only felt like superwoman for the run but for going "early" again today! It has turned out to be such a gorgeous day & it was sooo cool to have my run done so Emma & I could play outside all afternoon. My face and back are terribly broken out now from sitting in my sweat for hours but WHO CARES! I had a great run and endorphins make me soo happy! Backne and all! 😂☀️

So today was pretty hot and humid🔥💦Thankfully the clouds 🌥were covering up some of that sun and the breeze🌬 felt amazing😌. Today I had my very first workout with FIA, a peer led fitness group. It’s made up of many of our own run club members🏃🏻♀️🙌🏻💪🏻There are many more groups out there as well all over the east coast. We did a full body circuit that left me feeling all sorts of strong💪🏻 Afterwards I took the baby on a short lived stroller run🏃🏻♀️. Forgot to grease up my thighs this morning and with the humidity I got some serious chaffing😫and it was only a mile into my run🏃🏻♀️So I cut it short. Overall, today was pretty great. I guess I need to work on my inner thighs and shrink them just a tad bit😂
“Your pregnancy journey is your own and it changes from day to day... Focus on the things you can control, such as the way you nourish your mind and body, and let go of things you can’t, such as other people’s reactions to your fitness activities or how you look.” From the book Fit & Healthy Pregnancy. ~1 stroller pregnancy mile at 35 weeks pregnant.
Emmas face: honestly how I felt when I was running. My face: how I felt when I was done. 😁 The heat & wind weren't easy but you guys I ran before noon today! Anyone who has been following me for any length of time knows this is huge! So you could say I basically felt like superwoman. 😂😂😂 I may have died & grumbled a little because of said heat & wind, but I didn't give up, and finished insanely strong! Or maybe I was just so ready for it to be over? Regardless of what the weather TRIED to do to my spirit today, I overcame it, so yeah, superwoman status over here. 😂

Back to my trusty 800s. 6 x 800 focusing on consistency, which I am awful at, especially with the stroller. Slowed them down a little from last time to help me keep them within 5 seconds and hit all 6 between 3:39-3:44! I’m still getting over this cold, but this run felt great! With this cold and flu season is anyone else perfecting the art of the snot rocket?! 🙋♀️😂
These 2 characters joined me on my run this morning for #runstreak day 98. ❤️
Intervals with sleepy tonight! I have all these great thoughts in my head to write when I’m on my run but never can keep them when I go to post. All in all this was hard for me. It’s 75ish and 96% humidity out, it’s been raining on and off all day. I figured I’d have to do these at the gym tonight so I had that in my head but life made it impossible to get to the gym after work and before bedtime. So we set out with the stroller. I went a route that made half the intervals up hill 🤦🏻♀️. But I got it done! Now taking the old lady 🐶 qfor a stroll so she can pee everywhere in the neighborhood. Oh and this guy passed out the last 5 minuets of our run. Apparently daycare was hard today!

2 miles with these littles today. Had planned 5, but they saw the playground so we had to stop and play and then we went on an “adventure” (hike in the woods) with Grandma and Grandpa and the puppies. Some days it’s worth it to cut your run short 🤷🏼♀️
Crazy weather we are getting in the OKC.
Yesterday, it was 70 degrees. This morning was 45 degrees with rain that eventually turned to ice. The roads were pretty bad. So there was no way I was going to run.
I was monitoring the weather for the next few days and the best times I can get a run in is tonight and tomorrow morning. (Before the rain and ice come back)
This run was very hard. The 20 mph winds were brutal, the high was 28 degrees and I had to watch out for ice on the roads. (Ran around our neighborhood) I was able to do a 5k before my body told me no more. Its not the mileage I wanted to get but Im just glad I got a run in with this crazy weather.
Throughout all of this, my little one was nice and warm in his stroller bubble. No complaints from him. 👌

I could have made her go to day care and made this run easy on myself but mommy and me adventures/challenges are good for the both of us! 💪🏼 6 miles pushing a 30 pound toddler in a heat wave of 78 degrees was less than ideal but we had FUN! We looked for dogs, we waved at other babies and not once did she ask to watch a movie! 🤗
NOTHING about that was easy! But I LOVED IT!!! I loved including her. I loved knowing I was bettering myself. I loved the fresh air. I loved the heavy breathing. I loved pushing my limits and overcoming the challenge!
A challenge of which landed me at an 8:29 pace! (Yes, that strength program is working!) 🍑💃🏻 If you’re up for a little challenge yourself I’ve got the perfect place for you! 💜 Next accountability group starts March 5th and there will be no shortage of support, wine, cheat meals and building self confidence! 😘

The company that makes this #jogging stroller has "declined" - its words, not mine - to recall 17 models, even though CPSC says the way they're made makes failures more likely. 👶So far, 50 kids and nearly that many adults have been injured when the front wheel came off.

This bipolar weather kills me. And everyone is all like 'oh ma gah I love this weather! It's so nice out!' and picture no.2 is how I honestly feel about running in it. 😂 75 degrees + 10mph non.stop.winds and I thought I was going to die. This run was not easy by any stretch of the imagination, and I cannot wait to stop sounding like a congested smoker, but I'm so happy that I'm finally getting better and I'm incredibly proud of my efforts today! I may have had to cry out to God more than I'm willing to admit, but He didn't fail me and carried me through.

And not that anyone cares, but today will be my last day using this stupid multi-upload feature with @instagram. I was trying to keep from blowing everyones feed up with my overposting, but I can't take it anymore. It doesn't put any filters on the pictures that I do, but instead "fixes" the pictures itself. What I create and what @instagram is uploading are NOT the same & it's driving me insane. Get it together IG! 😑
Sunshine, blue skies, warm temps, easy stroller miles, short sleeves, capris, sunglasses!!!!! Yessssss 🙌🏻 A sneak peak into Spring and we are loving it! Kaan was so excited for our stroller run, which made me so happy! We hit the playground after. Glorious! Also winner winner chicken dinner! Last night I found out I won 6 tubes of @nuunhydration from an @themotherrunner giveaway. And this morning I found out I won a shirt from an @running.my.pace giveaway. #strollermiles#strollerrun#winnerwinnerchickendinner
Pushing these kiddos isn’t getting any easier, but finishing up a run to their laughs and giggles is what this #motherrunner life is all about! Plus, it’s gorgeous outside. 4 double #strollermiles with my favorite running buddies! ❤️ #momlife#momoftwo
Three easy blah miles this am. No surprise here, but 👶🏼🐻 gave me his cold 😷. I was honestly going to be shocked if I didn’t get it. Luckily it’s just some sinus congestion, but I hate not being able to breathe through my nose. It totally kills my sleep and I love my sleep 😩. Even though this run felt tough and I had to cut down my miles and go at a super easy pace, running does help clear my sinuses out. So cheers to that and hopefully sleeping better tonight!

Week 6 of half marathon training! Need to learn to pace myself better and not breath like a 🐄. #strollermiles#guamrunning Natalia and I jammed to her disney playlist while running. We even saw a brown tree snake on the path 🐍!!! #garminvivoactive3
It's okay to be nervous. It means you're about to do something really freaking awesome!
I had the same goal today as yesterday: run pushing Emma without needing to stop, but today it would be done solo. I wouldn't have Burley with me to keep me encouraged. And I was nervous. Like really nervous. I even said to Emma "I'm so nervous about this run today. I won't have dada with me, it's just you and me today." and with quite the sass, she said "mama! It's okay to be nervous! But you don't hafta be nervous!" and we set off. I didn't let myself look at my Garmin again, I just wanted to keep going. And not only did my body feel decently well, but it felt strong and I was able to run a mile more than I had planned. When I looked back at my times afterwards, I was glad I hadn't during because they would have probably frustrated me, but in that moment with all those endorphins running through my body, I was so proud, that I didn't care how long it took me! A mile is a mile is a mile, and to God be the Glory, today He let my body be well enough to knock out 6 with my girl! Dare I say I'm finally on the upswing of this upper respiratory/cold crud. I may or may not have totally cried tears of joy after this run too. 😂😭

A bad run is sometimes better than no run, right? The two positive things I can say about this run are 1. I did it and 2. It's over.😂 My head was just not in the game and my body followed suit. Onward and upward!🏃🏻♀️.
3 #strollermiles done for W2:D2 of #halfmarathon training.
A picture is worth 1000 words? True. But a picture can also hide most of the story. What you see here is a moment where I’m running downhill, smiling for the camera, and genuinely enjoying being outside.
What you don’t see: -my kids are screaming in there
-they’re also covered in food stickiness from their snacks
-I’m only 1.5 miles into what should have been an easy 5-mile run
-I cut it 2 miles short and walked a ton
-I was so winded during the first half mile I almost just called it quits then
-I was uncomfortably cold even though it was in the 40s
-the wind was brutal against that stroller at certain points
-I was disappointed in my pace and the fact that I quit early
So consider this a reminder (mostly to myself) that just because the picture makes it look like a great run (or clean house, or “perfect body”, or amazing vacation views, or whatever you’re browsing on social media) it’s not always like that.
Today was not what I wanted it to be, but we did get outside for some fresh air and some days that’s enough. 🤷🏼♀️
