Makes me fizz with excitement when I enter a new country, but even so, leaving Thailand was sad. So, in honour of countries visited - a little Thailand journey recap. Recap 1: Bangkok, and Wat Traimit
Planning a backpacking trip this spring break? Check out @hive_organizing on how to pack the essentials #Repost@hive_organizing with @get_repost
Hive is going to Southeast Asia...TOMORROW! Here are some packing tips for your backpack. I love this @deuter pack. It’s traditionally a 45L but can be transformed into a 55L, so you can bring home all of your souvenirs 😛. These packing cubes from Gonex are a necessity. It easily separates tops from bottoms and also clean from dirty. Having an organized pack is a great way to cut down stressors of traveling. Also...shoutout to @camiandjax for feeding my swimsuit obsession, probably all I’m bringing...
Ok, so I have hundreds (over a thousand) of images from this trip and I dunno how I’m going to share them all (I won’t). I’m back in America now with one flight left between me and Portland. I’ll be posting a lot in the coming weeks, both current photos of shows and whatever adventures I find myself in, as well as some favorites from this trip’s archive. Here’s one from inside the citadel of the Imperial City of Hue, Vietnam.
Ok, I'm not sure how many of you saw the first photo I posted awhile ago of me floating around all gracefully in this awesome watercave, but I can't float around & tread water forever lol so here's a picture of me with my little floatie chillin' & looking derpy soaking in that sunshine 😂 There is a guy who provides the ladder so you can get in & out of the cave for a very small fee and he also let's you use these floaties which was a lifesaver, literally lol! I was afraid to get into the cave but he calmed me down and told me to relax and that it'll be fun and he was so right! Thank you ladder man!
I was in awe at just how big it is once inside the cave. Definitely more expansive than it looks from up top. It is also the deepest watercave in Anda (yes there are many watercaves on Bohol). The tone of the deep blue of the water was so pretty & I actually saw some fish due to high tide mixing salt water w/the fresh water. I'll have more photos of this place in my new blog post that I'm hoping to have up tomorrow morning. This cave will be featured along with some other cool places in Anda and some tips on the area. Then I'll be writing about Candijay which was probably my favorite area of the trip! I hope you guys will check it all out! Happy Monday!
I was afraid to get in but I did it! This cave pool is one of the MANY in Anda, Bohol but based on my research this is one of the best. Big and deep (about 25 feet). The inside of the cave was so freakin' cool and I'll be posting some pictures later after going through the Gopro footage. The water was a beautiful deep blue tone and was nice and cold. I even saw some little fishies! But I kept thinking of that movie, the descent, and of weird water creatures lol!
Today was our first full day in Anda & it was great! After the cave we went to see Talisay beach and then spent the rest of our day on Quinale Beach which was beautiful. We made friends with a bunch of local kids, they were so sweet and adorable! Their mom's kept taking group photos of us and the kids kept snapping photos of us too lol! We did have one incident happen to us that kind of wigged us out for the rest of the day...more on that later, I'll be blogging about it, but for now I'm basking in the good of today!

After a 2 1/2 hour scooter ride, half of it in the pouring rain, we have arrived on the east coast of Bohol in Anda! It's gorgeous here and very different from Panglao. Here is our view from our private upper veranda to our private lower veranda 😍 The picture doesn't even do the color of the water justice! Beautiful crystal clear torquoise tones and I can tell the snorkeling will be awesome. It's a dark overcast day but the view is still amazing and I can't wait to see how it is in the sunshine! The view is even better from the lower veranda as you can see down to the beach.
We are about to check out the private beachfront and then rest up for all the adventures ahead of us. Happy Tuesday from us! You can book this lodging via booking.com as well as agoda!
I could have spent a month straight exploring all these temples without getting bored.
We decided super last minute to cut Bagan one day short, jump on a plane and head to Mandalay. We really wanted to see the Mya Thein Tan Pagoda (not in the photo) but in the planning we totally forgot all about it. It was definitely worth the last minute decision.
Also super excited I got my drone back when we left the Mandalay airport 🙌🏽. .
In Vietnam now! Let me know any recommendations you have if you’ve been.
I’m innnnn Phnom Penh! And spent a third of my daily budget on this macro bowl with kimchi, pickled ginger, tempeh, radish, cucumber, and carrots. 😅 I liked it but I desperately needed rice to help soak up all the acidity. #phnompenh#ricesolveseverything#cambodia
