My pastor says “fear is faith misdirected.” You are putting your faith in something out to destroy you.
With big goals in my heart for 2018, I’ve been dancing the line of fear and faith. Fear that I won’t succeed, fear that I won’t be ready, fear that I won’t be strong enough, fear that my body can’t do it, and these fears build to the point where I feel like I need to take matters into my own hands and change the process. And then I stop 🛑.
And remember that He is a good good Father, that it’s who He Is, and that I am loved by Him and that’s who I am. And that no one is as big a champion for me than Him, that no one wants me to succeed more than Him and that He has a big plan for my life that includes the desires of my heart since He put them there in the first place!
I stand today believing; not fearing. Trusting Him and this process as I learn the discipline to trust Him. It takes just as much discipline to trust God as it does to get up each morning and workout and eat right. Faith must be exercised!
Faith doesn’t come from “having heard” - “faith comes by hearing AND HEARING the Word!” (Implying an on-going active exercise!) And you grow from “faith to faith.”
So here I will be, resting in faith on Him who loves me. And every time fear starts to creep and skunk in, I will use it as an opportunity to exercise my faith and grow it!
I will achieve this goal I have in my heart! How do I know? Because I believe Him.
Once it gets below freezing, im on the #eliptical machine. I cant run and suck in that freezing air. My admiration to those that can. #wimp

#throwbackthursday to a prettier winter running day, with some snow and sun and blue skies 🌞 The weather today is more like treadmill weather (or maybe it's just me being a wuss), so I am getting my sweat on inside 😅 Happy Thursday!

Today was a longer run- and involved lots of turns and direction changes, and this leash was #initforthelongrun . When one dog dropped to the side, it was totally fine, the straps moved with the dog and my waist belt stayed in place. Ever since the addition of dog two, I’ve had some #dogmomguilt , and will literally do double runs just to make sure both dogs get quality time. Now I can take them both, and not be worried about their safety or mine! 5km run and 55mins of yoga this morning before the late shift, bringing my @runup2christmas total to 69.4km so far 🏃🏼♀️ This morning’s run was a bit 💩 though; ran too soon after breakfast, legs still heavy from sports massage, blah blah, but the important thing is I’ve drawn a line under it and I’ll move on and hopefully have a great workout tomorrow 💪🏻 Don’t let one bad run or workout, ruin all the good ones! #ru2c
We departed under a crescent moon, leaving the hum of traffic behind us. Climbing switchbacks into the darkness and scanning the hills for deer and coyotes. On the ridges it was blissfully warm, thanks to the winter inversion, and we paused to search the heavens for the Geminid meteor shower. We were rewarded. Dawn broke painting the sky in rainbow hues followed by the sunrise filtered through giant eucalyptus trees. Desert dreams on a chilly day. Warmer trails are only 1.5 months away! For a lot of runners winter is pure joy, but for me it takes extra determination. I had been so excited to do my tempo run this week outdoors on my day off today. I should have checked the weather 😂. Went to the gym instead and got the run done. 5 miles- 1 mile w/u and c/d with 3 miles at tempo sandwiched between. Followed up the run with some leg strengthening. Now to get something warm to drink (and eat 😋) Happy Thursday friends! Week 1/14 of #halfmarathontraining continues. I’m hoping this entire training cycle won’t be all treadmill, but I am starting to get used to it 😊 (and it’s getting me to strength train more lol!)
Super proud of my client @lucky52k ! Not only did she crush her last competition at Midnight Mayhem, she crushed her testing week too! Deadlift was definitely the lift we worked on the most and her strength gains certainly show it! When we started 205 # was a nerve racking number for her! During midnight mayhem she did 12 reps at 205 # in 30 seconds! and today when we tested her 1RM for deadlift she pulled 255 #!! 1st video 245 # ( still working on keeping shoulders back and back tight to reduce an arch)

There is something magical about being up in the middle of the night with a baby. Knowing that mothers everywhere have done or are doing the exact same thing...plus, baby snuggles heal everything 👶🏼☺️ There is something also completely cathartic about running in the early morning hours as the snow falls 🏃🏻♀️❄️ Poor littlest had me up with her since 3:15a 😷 She slept soundly on me for about an hour so at 5:20, I put her in the crib, turned the monitor volume up to leave on daddy's nightstand and went out into the gorgeous snowy morning.
Having breakfast with my whole family, watching the snow continue to fall I reflect on how truly blessed I am and am cherishing each of these moments, however perfectly imperfect.
Good Morning, Friends! It has been a super busy week but I was able to get in 8 miles early this morning. I can’t believe Christmas is in 11 days, time seems to be flying by...but I’m not complaining because the faster we can get back to summer the better! Have a great day! 😊💕💕

While all the people in my group wanted to try and run better, I really wanted to the one who the one who helps them make it happen. Be a trainer. 🙂
It just made me so happy to see people show up week after week. Spent early hours and trusting me with all that we went through. For I pushed them to run up and down the flyovers, dance like an ostrich, stretching like crabs, cats, pigeons and run so much more.
Love the positivity and energy that we have. It’s something I’d want to do all my life!

Hey girls. 👋🏻 This is a really exciting time for us and I want us to celebrate it.
This year, we've decided we aren't going to settle for being underpaid in our jobs , to feel unsafe in our workplaces, to remain unheard in politics, or to be devalued by the beauty standards social media places on us. We're standing up, we're speaking out and we're owning our stories with no apologies.
It's my job as a fitness professional, an influencer, and a WOMAN in this world to get up on my virtual soapbox and be an example of strength, power, badass-ery, and most importantly - to be REAL AF. .
So here's what: .
We are DONE with the "thigh gap." We will STOP associating bodies that are strong and healthy as being "bulky." We will not shame a girl for being skinny. We will not shame a girl for having curves. We will not EVER let a person tell us how our bodies should look. We will LOVE our bodies for all they can do and we will not spend another second poking, pinching, weighing, cleansing, comparing, or speaking down on ourselves.
I'm over it. You should be over it too. And we are SHUTTING 👏🏻IT 👏🏻DOWN👏🏻 right here, right now. .
I hear some people call tomorrow #thighgapthursday but since we no longer agree to buy into that disgusting misogynistic hashtag let's change it to hashtags like #lovemyshape and #bravebodyproject . .
