7 years ago today I was 41+ weeks pregnant, the day before i was scheduled for my induction. Had my last OB appt and nothing had changed, dilated 2cm and fully effaced. Had been like that for 5 weeks and my lil girl was snug as a bug... we were all packed and anxiously anticipating her arrival. I would walk (waddle) into the hospital at 7:00 am on Feb. 19, 2011...with my bag in tow, never once feeling a contraction and ready to meet my lil love 💗🌸🎀💕... to be continued.... By @runrunrae

We just barely received paper orders, so it’s finally official and we can finally share: We are moving back to Southern California this spring!!! ☀️🌴🙌
I’m a California girl at heart, so going back to SoCal is definitely a happy thing! That said, this base is quite literally in the middle of nowhere. We lived there as newlyweds and made the most of it, but in the interest of full disclosure — I’m not exactly full of warm-and-fuzzies for the location. The reality is that it comes with a lengthy list of challenges as well as limited opportunities for the kids (and myself; being stationed there killed my career once upon a time). However, it is an AMAZING assignment for Matt’s career, the on-base community is practically Mayberry, and the possibilities for weekend fun are endless! ( ?) We chose to love it before, and we’ll love it again. 😊
K, now load up our California race bucket list!!! We weren’t on the racing scene last go around so that part will be new to us. What can’t we miss??

So here's an honest and long post! .
I'm not really into fitness that much. Fitness takes a LOT of discipline. You have to take care of what you eat, how much you eat, count your nutrients, dedicate your time to each muscle group and… look in the mirror to see the result.
I don't have anything against fitness, in fact. Still, I believe that all of us are much, much more than just attractive bodies. Of course, behind those bodies there is a lot of work which I appreciate and respect. But the concept itself, having a 'fit' body has never been enough motivating for me, that's why my wannabe 'strength training' phases didn't last much. I don't have to impress no one with my looks. I'm surely not the most fit girl, but I'm happy with my body and I like the way I look now.
I'm focused on my endurance, on spreading my boundaries. I'm focused on getting to know how my body works and what it's capable of.
A strong and healthy body is a beautiful body. Love it and cherish it no matter what it looks like because it's the only one you will ever have. ❤
I could be strong because I know my weaknesses.
I could be wise because I have been foolish.
And I can laught because I’ve know sadness!!

This is when you know who your true friends are! .
I was carefully running the entire morning so as not to slip and fall in the mud. Well, I eventually did at around mile 11. Instead of helping me get up and pull me out from being stuck in the mud, my “good” friend @hundak9698 scrambled to pull out his phone from his hydration vest while saying “STAY RIGHT THERE! Let me take a photo of you! Stay right there!” 🤦🏽♀️🤣😡🤬 He then said “I promise I’ll help you after!” 😠🤣
I spent the next 3 miles not being able to snack or drink water coz my hands and my water spout were covered with mud and probably cow💩. .
Btw, I still love you my friend. I can’t wait for payback time 😈😈😈
Today’s workout was 2 mile w/u, then 5x2k at MP and getting faster with each one down to HMP with 400m recovery between, c/d to 10.5 miles.🏃🏻♀️Had to take it to the treadmill🙄this morning.📷 is from a few days ago when the weather was less frightful!
Man könnte meinen, ich laufe durch die Dünen. Hach, schön wäre es, wenn dahinten gleich das Meer wäre... Aber nein, es handelt sich „lediglich“ um meinen Feierabendlauf und der fand in Dortmund statt... Tja, man kann nicht alles haben.🤷🏼♀️ Diese Woche werde ich wieder etwas lockerer laufen, um am Sonntag in Venlo keine schweren Beine zu haben.
