first morning run in denver ✔️not sure if it was hard to breathe because i’m getting sick or because of the altitude 😕 either way, we’ve had a packed day for kd’s birthday! we had brunch at @snoozeameatery and went to the zoo and went to the denver central market🍦happy friday!
“Sometimes you just do things”- @scottjurek
My run felt like this today. Had a lot to do and a very busy day, but still squeezed in a run because, well, sometimes you just do things. Run streak day 9 and a happy 2.0 jog into the sunset 😊 #runstreak#runnerslife#runtherapy#saladstreak
What better way to #bekinetic than a tempo run around sunny Devonport before a swim at the beach to cool off. I'm so stoked to be home for summer! It's been great to be here with plenty of time to acclimatize to the heated and humidity before Tarawera, only a few weeks away now 🤙🏁
Totally kicked this tempo run in the 🍑! 🏃🏼♀️

Felt that comfortably uncomfortable feeling and my avg HR was only 158 😳 I don’t think it’s ever been that low during a tempo 🤣Afterwards I did an hour of body pump. Super excited and happy with where my training is going! ☺️ #runjillrun#marathontraining#temporun
This morning I had the intention to do a workout. Then I didn't sleep well and my legs felt fatigued. Plus we got a fresh coating of ice and snow. .
All were just a collection of signs to move my workout to another day. Could I have run outside or on the treadmill? Sure, but would it have been productive...probably not.
So I took a short peaceful walk, enjoyed the day, and moved on.
Y’ALL THAT WAS HARD! 😰
The hard is what makes us better right? This workout had to be adapted to the home treadmill since our gym didn’t open until 12 and has no childcare today. Thankfully hubby was home again so we could tag team 👪
Scheduled workout: 20 minute warm up, 4 x 1 mile (6:55-5:50 pace) with 400 recovery, 2 x 400 (6:00 pace) with 300 recovery, and 20 minute cool down. 💪
I hit the mile repeats (6:54, 6;54, 6:49, 6:49) but that took about all I had out of me. I started the first 400 and at the end I was hanging on. Last night I came down with a cold and the repeats were all my body had in it so I cut the last 400. It wasn’t worth it with how tired I was feeling. 🤷🏻♀️
9.64 miles total 👟👟
