Didn't run today but here is the race results from my recent New Years Race 9.3 Challenge. Ran it at my "having fun" Pace to enjoy DTLA at night! My fav race, 3medals! My 4th year doing it & I already signed up for next year 2019! #newyearsrace
BUNNY HOPS 🐰
It is finally time to let your feet work together instead of separate.
The exercise is 2️⃣⬆️1️⃣⬇️ meaningfully you jump forward 2 squares and then jump one back. Don’t forget to avoid touching the edges of the ladder. 10-12x and rest on the walk back.
My workout today in 60s and then 10km on the Treadmill for @runeverydayjanuary Day 12 ✅
After feeling so tired last night and not wanting to get up this morning I was surprised with how I did.
Having someone to train with or telling you what to do is really good as you can switch off and just do it, or by scheduling a time to meet it makes you have to do it. Thanks Chris @betterbodygroupuk again for a good workout 😊
Then of course I need to fit my run in and was much much better than my effort on Twitter (damekellyholmes ) last night!
Let’s talk about pregnancy and postpartum running for a second shall we? It’s one of most common questions I get! The pictures above were take *almost* a year apart. 💕
Here is what I always tell women no matter what stage they are in: .
💙 DON’T COMPARE: Running while pregnant and postpartum can be hard. Don’t compare it to the others who make it seem “effortless” on social media. As always - Social Media is usually the highlight reel. .
💙 IT’S OK IF YOU HAVE TO STOP: I read time and time again posts from women who are so proud and happy to have ran up until the day they gave birth. It’s awesome for them but If you have to stop at some point to do what’s best for you or your sweet baby that’s OK too! I had to stop at 36 weeks because I was in so much pain but that doesn’t make you any less of a mother or a runner! 🏃🏼♀️ .
💙 BECOME IN TUNE WITH YOUR BODY. Pregnancy and postpartum running allowed me to learn more about and read my body much better. You have to learn to listen to your body even more than you already do. You know it best and when in doubt - be cautious. It’s the time in your life where it’s better to be cautious. .
💙 ENJOY THE PROCESS. There were days when I felt frustrated but I always reminded myself to enjoy the process. If you are blessed enough to experience the joy of pregnancy - then do just that: enjoy it! Running was simply to keep me and my baby healthy! .
💙 DO WHAT’S BEST FOR YOU. When you get pregnant everything changes. I stopped running at first for 3-4 weeks because I was so paranoid. I don’t regret it at all it’s what I needed to feel better and you have to do what’s best for you! I also never raced, did any workouts over some light intervals, and quit double digit runs after about 23 weeks. I saw many women who were able or wanted to do all these things but for me I had to do what I felt best and most comfortable doing.
Try your best to enjoy the process and each day no matter what it brings! I promise you have the greatest reward ever at the end!🏃🏼♀️💙👶🏻

All the hard training is done, race day is here! Have a plan, stay composed, have fun! A big factor in running success are these three pillars. 📸 @jeffcohenphoto
Do what you love and you will never be bored! 😍 Honestly I was indifferent about this trip because I was pretty much riding solo and I knew CES would be amazing but filling in all the rest of the time without my friends made me a little sad and being away from my kids for a week is always hard. But the best part is that I got to see the city in a whole different way as a runner and I’m always thankful that I can tour any city with these two feet and some good music in my ear! Proud of myself for not missing any of my scheduled runs and adding this one on to the end today!! 🙌🏻
Wanted a nice easy run down to this sign today, underestimated the distance(thought it was 2 miles but it was almost 3 haha) but a GREAT way to end this trip! A very long day ahead of me- my flight into Michigan doesn’t land until 11:30 tonight and a snow storm has hit home today and is coming across the Midwest so positive thoughts that I don’t get delayed! 🤞🏼
Until next time Vegas... ✌🏻

Sometimes the most intense feelings, most extreme emotions, most incredible experiences, don't fit in captions.💯🙏🏼 I do my best sharing what I can verbalize on social media, but sometimes... a photo just says it all. Thanks for this incredible 📸 @jamesmitchell5#RunningwiththeFeelingofBeingAlive Happy Friday, everyone. 👋🏽
