Was well hydrated for a very cold run today. Ran a new section of the bridle trail and got my first injury - ran face first into a thorn bush. #trailrun

Weekend running highs and lows. Running can be a strange sport. Sometimes your mind and body are not on the same page at all, and yesterday and today’s runs are good examples of that. Yesterday I got out to run late afternoon after a long day of family activities (including green donuts for St. Patrick’s Day). Mentally I did not want to run, but physically I felt great and even ran a progression with my last mile in the low 8s. Today, mentally I was craving a long(er) run of 7-8 miles but my body wasn’t having it. Lately I’ve been having random blood sugar issues and I don’t think I ate enough this morning before heading out. I ended up not feeling well so I cut it short. I was disappointed but I know it was what my body needed. Here’s to a fresh week tomorrow!
Marathon #47 is complete! Had an absolute blast leading the 4:00 hour group for the Tobacco Road Marathon. It was great to have a close friend share miles with me and two Marines who had never run more than 13 miles prior to today. 😮 All three finished with a sub 4:00 time! #marathon#getitdone#stayontarget

13.1 #NYChalfmarathon We did it!! The new course was AWESOME! I LOVED going over the Manhattan bridge. It still went through Time Square and finished in Central Park with rolling hills. It was SO amazing!! Oh and our matching tights were a hit, the crowd loved them!

Day 490, 8 easy miles - until the wind kicked up and then it was a pretty decent resistance workout. It really gets howling and I get distracted, so I like to throw in some improv intervals...just a 60 second count to focus on form, then a 60 second count to lean in and push back. I repeat that 💩until I get home or the winds lets up. So yeah, until I get home. What are obstacles you face during your workouts (i.e. weather) and how do you overcome them?🌬🏃🏽♀️

Sugarland Saint Paddy’s Day Half Marathon! Very thankful to have my buddy Brian out running it with me! #runfar#drinkbeer#repeat
The Cave has always been my refuge. It is where I hear and receive direction from My Father.
But within the past year or so I have fallen in love with these trails. I started out running to compete and to get in better shape. It was fun to see how I could push my body. Through running I have been able to clear my mind. I have been able to release the stress from work or life in general. I have fallen deeper in love with creation and seen it as a gift. I love taking random stops and listening to the water flow on the Paint Creek or the Clinton River. I love seeing the bare Forrest painted with random blotches of green from the trees that are too strong for winter to beat on. I love looking eye to eye with the deer I cross paths with. I love hearing the wind as it tells me it's there.
There was a time when the only voice I could hear was, "you're not good enough" or "you're gonna die like this". But now all I hear is "I LOVE YOU". And that is enough.
Training runs at #MDO. We don’t run together very often, so it’s fun to see this lady out on the trail when our paths cross #runfar#rad#optoutside
It wasn’t easy to get out the door for the 10 spot this morning after a late night. —
We went to check out @jondorenbos last night in Philly. I followed him on the Eagles and on AGT. I always loved magic as a kid and still enjoy it today. His show was superb and his magic is simply mind blowing. With an incredible story to tell, excellent showmanship, and not to mention funny as hell the sky’s the limit for him. #lifeismagic
Happy St. Patty’s Day! 🍀🍀 LA Big 5K is in the books, and so is the last leg of my Triple 5K Tour of LA Challenge!
Great shakeout run before 26.2 tomorrow! Who’s ready to run LA? 🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♀️
Finished the work week with another morning run on Thursday (I can wake up an hour later when my kids are with their dad and it feels so nice! LOL). Then I ran a couple more miles that afternoon with the girls at my school’s running club. After a slightly rocky start they all pushed themselves, had positive attitudes and finished smiling- which made us coaches happy! The next morning (Friday) I knocked out 3 more morning miles. So proud to have ran every morning Tuesday-Friday this week!!! But I won’t lie, sleeping in this morning felt really good!
Marathon training is hard... #truestory#endofstory ... hit my paces ✅ , marathon pace felt comfortable ✅, whole run felt tired ✅, hotter than I anticipated (took off my arm sleeves mid run ✅, underfueled ✅, tired AF after ✅.... successful run, none the less •• ••
3 x 2 mi @ GMP(kinda fast-ish) with 1 mile between sets... my sets had everything from up, down, flattish... 7:01, 6:58 ✅
Check out my story, if your an elevation junky... 🤦🏽♀️😬😭
7 years ago today I was 41+ weeks pregnant, the day before i was scheduled for my induction. Had my last OB appt and nothing had changed, dilated 2cm and fully effaced. Had been like that for 5 weeks and my lil girl was snug as a bug... we were all packed and anxiously anticipating her arrival. I would walk (waddle) into the hospital at 7:00 am on Feb. 19, 2011...with my bag in tow, never once feeling a contraction and ready to meet my lil love 💗🌸🎀💕... to be continued....

I have no idea what that run was, I just ran and threw in some sprints and did whatever 🤷♀️ I pushed through what was comfortable but nothing overkill. I have a doc apt on Monday that I’m hoping will solve my extreme fatigue, slight weight gain and a bunch of other small symptoms 🤞🏻 #randomrun#motherrunner#runwithjules#runvermont
