📜📜Damian has kindly written a testimonial of his time with me:
😊 Thanks Andrew. Could not have asked for a better and more knowledgeable PT to get me ready for surgery. The assistance, coaching and expertise you provided enabled me to reach goals beyond my belief and know that I'm in the best shape for my recovery. To those who want serious results and to feel proud of their achievements, I highly recommend consulting a PT, like Andrew, to set you on the correct path of achievement. Proof's in the pudding....lifting weights I have never touched, even in my cocky 20's. Thanks again Andrew Foley.
🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️This was a great result, we hit a lifetime PB of 105kg for 2 reps last week.
💫Whether you have a fitness, weight loss or specific health goal please contact me directly to discuss. 🌟

Sometimes the only way forward is to take several steps back.... finally back on the treadmill max sprinting (22km never was winger fast) but more importantly doing it pain free and with limited hip impingement.
Stripping back my programming and focusing on mobility and the less exciting parts of training have paid massive dividends. Alongside the interventions of @thegym.academy@gsnandhra@iancrump_ .It’s amazing being pain free or in very little pain after being in intense pain since October 17 to the point of managing it with pain killers.
We only realise just how important hip mobility and overall glute strength (med and min particularly) is when it all falls apart and you’re sidelined because of it.
Been an interesting 6 week training block, even trying things I would not normally make the time for including a couple Crossfit open workouts... hypocritical much??? #guilty#crossfit
🧠Choose your goals. 🏃🏻♀️Balance your life. 💥Be consistent.
3 things @rezghaemi knows how to do best. Now 4 months in his results are a testament to his hard work. Rez you’re a gun and a gem to train ⭐️⭐️

My first weekend in years without alcohol is drawing to a close and I’m feeling incredibly optimistic about the coming weeks and months now. My @jack.atkins92 has been so supportive, even making virgin cocktails with me last night and not drinking alcohol himself. I count myself very lucky to have such an amazing thoughtful boyfriend especially in times like these ❤️
🚄 On my way back to Hamburg from my mom (my every 1-2 weeks commuting routine for half a year now - 500km one way)
Friday was her last radiotherapy, so we had something to celebrate 😉🥂 ...I'm so very thankful for mom beating her #cancer🎯🏆 She's such a powerful women in every sense, an has always been a great rolemodel for me 🔥❤
It has been an intense time, but there were so many precious and deep moments all throughout. A speciall thanks to all my friends who stood at my side when I needed it most - Love you guys so much 💕
Next week starts part two of her/our journey - rehab 💪🌱 #fightcancer#beatcancer#bestmom#powermom#rehab#family&friends #fighttogether#dontgiveup
Recovering from a foot or knee injury?
Try this! .
📌place balls or other objects around you in a circle. They should be placed far enough so you have to extend your leg to touch it. 📌point one toe and try to touch the objects starting from the one in front of you 📌bend the leg you are standing on to reach the objects.
📌try to touch as many balls and then switch legs 🔑make sure your hips are facing forward and your chest is up. Standing in front of a mirror will help see what you are doing.

Worst pain of your life or nothing at all ... it depends 🤔
💢LOW BACK PAIN INFO
There are all kinds of things that can go wrong in the low back (lumbar spine) that can cause pain - sometimes debilitating at times 💣
📈The most talked about issue - likely because it is visible on x-ray - is intervertebral disc degeneration / arthritis
💡Arthritis does not cause pain and pain is not always from arthritis. Period. But I still don’t want it and wouldn’t want it affecting how my spine moves and the health of the nervous system around it .
In our office, we rarely ever use radiographs to look at the spine and prefer and NEUROSTRUCTURAL examination because it is more reflective of one’s overall health and function. Arthritis matters but it isn’t the be and end all
The other injuries listed can only be seen with advanced imaging and are often visualized in asymptomatic cases: again they do not always cause pain!
However, in cases where a tear of the disc or a herniation of the disc back towards the spinal cord, or up into the vertebra above [end plate fracture or Schmorl’s node] is the cause of pain - you have to expect a long recovery
Whether it is an annular fibre tear or a disc bulge / herniation causing pain, one has to expect at least a few weeks to months of discomfort 👎
Given how much load these tissues are forced to carry, how many nerves they have in or near them and how they rarely ever are unloaded and get to heal - the recovery process is slow .
The 🔑 is the see a profession. Again, period
Truth be told, I am not your guy in the early acute phase of healing. This is when you should see someone that focuses more on pain or pain relief like a physiotherapist or more traditional chiropractor 👨⚕️ .
There will need to be some NeuroStructural Restoration of the Core Problems that causes the disc issues but that can wait until you are mobile and walking around
🗣If you have had a spine or disc issues I would love to know what has worked and what hasn’t! ✍️ comment below and ask any questions you like
I want to help but please don’t DM me your MRIs and X-rays - I can’t legally read them & I can’t give medical advice with an examination
Do you struggle back squatting or performing a conventional deadlift?? Over the years of being i the fitness industry and through personal experience I’ve some to realize that a large % of people should not be back squatting ass to grass or performing conventional deadlifts from the floor.. If your the kind of person who has no problems squatting or deadlifting then by all means keep crushing it, this is a post for people who find back squatting uncomfortable, painful and leave feeling worse for wear days later.. Unless you are required in a sport like powerlifting or CrossFit, you have other options and variations at will give you the exact same results without the hassle and discomfort, that’s what I will be covering this week
Unilateral (single leg) exercises
Will upload the full videos to Facebook each day.
So while Birdy is distracted wondering whether she should be running away from some invisible monster I take the oppertunity to snap a few pics of her - her expression in the second pic though! "Mom why are you just standing there, you should be working hard on removing the imaginary monster I've just thought up!" Can't stop laughing at that very unimpressed expression she slaps me with 🤣💓

✨“ Have you ever felt a connection with someone? Not in lust or in their image, but in the richness of their souls & vibes they give off? .“✨*
This is how Me and Miss Monica feel about one another. We met on IG when I saw her account and left comments asking her to contribute to her #foreveryone tags....since then our connection & #instafriendship has grown into what it is today! 😊🙌🏼❤️ *
I’m so grateful for another beautiful #connection within our #pilatescommunity ☺️*
What Monica/Ashlee and I have created is more than just doing our videos and #pilates 😆 With our #connectionsof2018 we’ve created lasting friendships across the world....not just ours ;)💕*
Next week Monica is having foot surgery....She’s extremely nervous and stressed about this procedure—as hospitals are not her favorite—I think we can all agree there! 😌 Let’s help her recover by staying active & #positive with #connectionsof2018 or by simply DM-ing her to check in ❤️ (I know she would really appreciate that!)*
We have prepared for this and have pre-made several KILLER 🔥🔥videos until she fully recovers....nothing stops us 💪 hehe! We pre-recorded a few vid for you. *
After/during her recovery we may switch up our theme into REHAB or modifying Pilates exercises (with props) for any injury restrictions 👌🏼👯 ** *
We’d love to get some #healingwithpilates@zaynagold & @functionfabulous involved as well! We shall see what the future has in hold as we continue on with this amazing movement from our #pilatesfamily ➖➖〰〰〰➖➖〰〰〰➖➖〰
✨Show us your #connectionsof2018 What/Who challenges you? Who inspires you? Do you share your passion with someone in our #pilatescommunity ? Tag us @pilateswithashlee@pilates_fit_monica#connectionsof2018 and @pilatestv Cuz well, why not! 🎉🎉*
