No stops, 9:21 pace and the best part about it is that I don’t spend countless hours at the gym on a treadmill doing cardio. I have my at home workouts to thank for my increased strength and endurance. It’s an amazing feeling when you push yourself to places you never thought possible.

That’s 500,000,000 every single day just in the USA. And they never go away 😩😢. As a family we have decided to do our best to not use plastic straws. Now when we go out to eat, we always ask restaurants for paper straws (aka “ocean friendly straws” like the cute ones here) if they have them or no straws at all. It is an easy change to help our planet and a fun one to do as a family. Now I fully realize the hypocrisy of paper straws in plastic cups and we are working on that too! And soon our kiddos will outgrow kids cups but hopefully they will never outgrow our plastic straw ban and it will be a lifelong practice. Who wants to join us???? We are in the home stretch and my whole body is working hard so I am sore all over, but a good sore. A little foam rolling today and tomorrow I will stretch and roll out the aches to be ready for another week. .

Weighed in this morning on my new Scale/Body Analyzer from @vanityplanetstore. It’s a scale that you can program by height, age, gender, and whether you’re an athlete that reads weight, water percentage, muscle mass percentage, bone mass, and body fat percentage.
I take it with a grain of salt. I sure don’t feel like my BF is currently this low, but I’m also not a good judge of that.
I read online that someone my age with the muscle mass I have (apparently 38.9%) is very high. So if that’s true, I’m happy. But not satisfied. Never satisfied. Gotta keep grinding. 💪🏻

Wanna know what I made for EXTRA income before coaching? Nothing! We both have wonderful full time jobs that pay for everything and we were financially just fine! But just fine doesn’t include paid vacations, having extra savings, buying organic, getting that cute top without thinking twice...🤷🏼♀️
I started coaching because I wanted to immerse myself in a fitness community. 🏋🏼♀️ It all started with my desire to change my life and be the fittest I’ve ever been. 🤸🏼♀️ Once I learned the income potential I got pretty darn excited! 🤑 I realized I could make enough to get these house projects done sooner, to spend more money on experiences, to put more in the savings!
I don’t mind sharing what I made in my 1️⃣st week, my 9️⃣th week and my 1️⃣8️⃣th week (remember these are weeks not months!) because I’m sure some people are curious about the financial side of becoming a coach! Why would I keep that from anyone?! I also know I’m going places with this whole coaching gig and someday I’m going to look back at this post and be like wow I was so proud to make $111 that first week! And good thing I kept at it because now I’m making XYZ!

Would you believe me if I told you that I'm the same weight in both pics? No...well it's true! Due to 🦈 week, I might be up a couple pounds in the pic on the right.
The left pic popped up in my FB memories today and I remember that day because I was at the lowest I've ever weighed in my life. I bought that shirt and it was an XL and I was so proud of myself.
But...I didn't get lose my healthy habits when I lost the weight. I managed to keep them under control for a period of time, and then I loosened up the reigns and I gained about 70+lbs pretty freaking fast.
I still have all the clothes I fit into back then. The jeans are too big. I swim in the shirts, yet my weight was the same. The difference in my body composition right now blows my mind. I am wearing sizes SMALLER than I did back at my lowest weight, but yet that number on the scale isn't much different
And guess what....I really don't give a flying 🤬! I am going to take my smaller clothes size and enjoy it while throwing out that scale!

Feeling so freaking grateful for the progress in my shoulders. Past trauma had me sure I’d never be doing any heart openers or inversions. Lucky me, if I just listen to my body and take it slow, giving it the time it needs, it will get there. 💚 Also finding it quite funny to look back at older images of wheel and honestly being a little surprised that I didn’t destroy my wrists. It’s all in the learning.
Love your body, treat it well, be thankful for all it lets you do and see how much farther it takes you if you take loving it seriously 😘

😂😂 I did not weigh in today. Why? Because yesterday wasn’t good at all and I’ve been rocking it at the gym so I do not need the scale negativity in my life today. I did however reflect on why I just kept eating yesterday. A. It’s almost that time of the month. B. Thursday night was a trigger. Having pizza wasn’t the issue, it was having four slices of pizza and four garlic knots when I would have been fine with two of each. 🤷🏼♀️ #progressnotperfection#weightlossjourney
At one point in these past few years, my stomach started hanging out of this shirt if I didn’t wear the right bottoms with it.
But NOW? Now I can wear this shirt as a dress (I wouldn’t, but I could 😅)

I’ve wanted to post this for days and have struggled to think of words that can adequately express my feelings for something that has changed my life.
I’ve dealt with depression, anxiety, and debilitating perfectionism most of my life. These things can be hard to see because most perfectionists hide it well by being busy and looking accomplished, when I’ve felt broken and weak. When I decided I needed to make some changes, I discovered the podcast @aboutprogress. In the intro, Monica says this podcast is for “ordinary people striving to improve themselves, overcome obstacles, and make something special of their lives, all while maintaining a healthy balance. In short, people who know if is about progress, not perfection.”
Monica and the amazing women and men she interviews have changed my views on life, self love, goals, being “good enough”, and so much more. Monica inspired me to go after my dreams and do things that scare me, so I started this Instagram account! I literally would not be in this community without her. I cannot say enough how much I love this podcast, the people, and their stories and experiences.
