Shoutout to my incredible parents who came down for a couple days and helped us wire the breaker panel. Thanks to my dad’s electrical engineer guidance, all of our wiring plans are very professional and well planned. The best part- all of the circuits we’ve tested so far work!!! This means LIGHTS to work at night!!!

My family has always enjoyed the positive stories at the end of the daily news by @stevehartmancbs In a world filled by evil, ugly things, he always provides us with something to tug at our heart strings in the best way possible. My dad sent me a video the other day about a father who writes his kids postcards every day. Just as a daily reminder that no matter how awful the world may seem, they are loved. We shared in the happy story and went on with our days. I now live a state away from my family and miss the terribly and our main form of connection is Facebook or texting. I got home from work yesterday, checked the mailbox, and inside, a postcard from my dad. Now, I am tough cookie, but as I read it at the mailbox, I bawled my eyes out like a baby. Dad, I want you to know just how much this meant to me. I’m glad I am making you proud. I couldn’t have gotten to this point in my life without guidance from you and mom! Love you always and forever.
🙌 Ben and I saved $10,000 by painting the bus ourselves. It took us four weekends to prep and only four hours to actually paint. Crazy. 🤦♀️ Though it drove me to almost give up the bus venture altogether (for a hot second, Ben kept me afloat) I’m glad we went this route. Now, every time I look at her shiny aqua bod I can say, “We did that!” 💪 #tbt
