Tell me what did you do this week to stay grounded?
It's been a tad of a crazy week here in Wholefoodfamily Land with birthdays, sold out classes, soccer practices, work, birthday parties and farmers market prep.
In the thick of it all we have had some really lovely family moments that have grounded me and allowed me to fill my mumma cup. .
This picture is from a spontaneous beach swim, we took dinner in a container and 5 forks to eat it with, we watched the sun set and just cruised home to bed. There was no crazy evening routine, no hot tempers and no sibling squabbles. It was such a nice way to end the evening and so lovely to reset as a family. .
There is a lot of grind and push at this stage of our business and with 3 little men I do need the reminder to step back and reset and ground myself. .
So in a crazy week I actually feel like we came out ok..... Although, don't talk to me about my washing pile 🙈

Salad or should I say NOURISH BOWL for lunch. Sorry guys, you’re just going to have to keep seeing pictures of my bowls because I’m kind of digging them lately and this is what I eat almost every day!
Alright, you guys already know this... I’m all about salads, but honestly I prefer to call them nourish bowls! I feel as though thinking of my meal as a salad often leaves me a unsatisfied, I’ve always seen salad as part of a meal and honestly, that’s because they usually are! Often low in calories, protein, and substance. •
The calorie dense part of salads are often the dressings which are full of highly processed oils, sugar, and often high fructose corn syrup! My preference is to not drown my greens and veggies in these kinds of dressings. I prefer to fill my bowl with some other high protein and healthy fat foods. Think avocado, tahini, tempeh, chickpeas, nuts and seeds, and so many other options! This is what I get my flavor and satiation from and it never hurts to add a squeeze of lime or lemon 🍋
On another note... Happy Friday!! I’m headed to Boston to see some friends for the weekend and get some gal time in. What’s your favorite way to spend time with your gals? I’m sure we’ll be pigging out on some dark chocolate and sweet potato fries, doing face masks, and visiting cafes/walking the streets all weekend!
CLEARING ENERGIES :: Dr. Christine has a very unique + refreshing approach to healing. Over the coming weeks we will be sharing more about her process + tools. But she has had some interesting questions from patients over the last few weeks as to how she stays "cleansed" or "free of other people's energies" throughout the day as she's treating. And we thought we would share here as some of these tools might be useful in your own daily ritual or self care.
... “When I'm with a patient I create a very strong container of awareness and because I also do a continuous reiki treatment throughout each session with patients, there's not usually a ton of clearing needed. However after each session I conduct the following rituals ::
... I release any stored energy from the session by channeling it down through my body + into the earth.
... I wash my hands. (Water is actually one of the most thorough energy cleansers as it simply washes away any stagnant or left over energetic residues. Simply taking a bath or shower at the end of a draining day, can help to wash unwanted energies away.)
... I clean the surfaces with high quality essential oils + alcohol.
... I smudge with Palo santo or Sage as needed. (***A gentle reminder here to simply burn one only leaf at a time, as White Sage is considered endangered. Using full sage smudge bundles is so very wasteful. If you have a bundle, just peel it apart and put the leaves in a bowl to use one at a time***).
... I then cleanse myself with essential oil sprays all over chakras, inside the ears to permeate through to my brain, to reset the energy in my mind, and over my pelvic floor to help ground + refresh my whole body.

Greens in my smoothie. Greens in my salad. Handfuls of crunchy green kale chips for a snack.
You get it. Green is my favorite color.
I’m SO over the moon 🌙 for fresh greens that I want to share more of them with you!
And teach you how to grow your own endless supply of green goodness in your world.
So you never have to reach the bottom of the greens bag and skimp on good nutrition.
For your plate.
For your smoothie glass. .
Or for the life that you’re creating.
Stay tuned-more on this soon!🌱

Caffeinated drinks are cool and all until you have an energy crash 🤯 Try starting your day with fresh green juice and see if you can feel the difference. #energy#greenjuice#fresh
Made some green smoothies for my mom and myself (and later for my dad as well) yesterday. They loved them and said they definitely want to make them theirselves more often. I just love how open minded they are and that they’re always willing to try out new (vegan) stuff. I was never the one who forced them to try vegan food or to reduce/cut out meat and dairy products because in my opinion most of the time this isn’t the best way to do it. Be a good example, make delicious food and offer it to people. If they’re interested, give them more information about the health, environmental and ethical aspects. It’s a friendlier way and I made the experience that people are more open this way.
What are your experiences?🐮🌿🍃

Rise and Shine ☀️ Happy Friday Friends! After a looong, challenging week I am determined to end on a high note! We started the day off with this hearty breakfast, and now I’m off to the gym! 🏋🏻♀️ Later I get to see one of my best friends who is visiting from out of town! It’s going to be a good day! 🙌🏻
#whatweate#eggplantparm#hacked#hassleback ... thick hassleback slices in small eggplant, stuff fresh mozzarella & basil leaves between slices, place in baking dish with Fresh marinara on the bottom, cover with foil, bake 1 hr. Take foil off, sprinkle with shredded parm and bake another 5-10 minutes until brown. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
One of my favourite oils to diffuse is Lemongrass along with black pepper- so uplifting and invigorating!
I also put a few drops of this oil in my all natural multipurpose cleaning spray and boy oh boy does my house smell amazing afterwards 😍
HEALTH is IN 💗🙋🏼🌟 You only get 1️⃣ body 👙 Make sure you look after it 💚 I replaced sugary cereal & toast with a plant protein shake 👊🏻 Magic beans for energy 💫

MP-Truthfulness For A Time
Whether we've experienced a traumatic or uneventful past, we can celebrate His mercy that was given us: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3). Some things in our previous lives have haunted us, made us come unhinged, and have wreaked hazardous outlooks toward our self (1 John 3:8). With this, we are revisited by immense truths, one such as the audacious abilities of God: “For with God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37). As we pour out our emotions, the insecurities, the humiliating and degrading details of actions we've partaken in, the refining process burns this away (2 Peter 3:10): “Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction” (Isaiah 48:10). Scathing flames of holiness remove iniquities we've shared in (Psalm 29:7). Finally, as we retrace our steps, we notice that wherever we went wayward The Lord returned us to Himself: “For ye were as sheep going astray; but now are returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls” (1 Peter 2:25). And, that dissenting path we tread through has been covered over (Romans 4:7). Blood hid the dirt (Hebrews 9:13). Flesh blotted out the transgression (Isaiah 44:22). Nourished by His Death (Colossians 1:21-22), transformed by His inevitable aliveness (1 Corinthians 15:22)
In celebration of international women’s day we are sharing why we are proud to be women🌸 and although there are many many and we mean MANY reasons why we are proud, we went with the word opinionated 💪🏼
AND before anyone says that being opinionated is a bad thing! It’s not!!!
It simply means that someone isn’t afraid to give their personal opinion and doesn’t stay quiet if they don’t agree with something - aka women have to speak up and share their opinions and views 🌟
The only people who see it as a bad thing are those who don’t like to hear other people’s opinions 🙃
AND yes you can be opinionated and polite at the same time!!! Also you always need to have your facts right when speaking but that goes for everyone.
And we mean both vegans and women and especially vegan women are always on point with their facts soooo we are allowed to be opinionated 😉

You know what’s nice? A clean kitchen. You know what’s also nice? Eating cookies in bed after you put three children to sleep and leaving a mess in your kitchen so you can have a few moments of just you. ✌🏻 I woke up to this and I debated even posting. I was going to post a picture of my beautiful clean kitchen (alongside this one)that I spent a good hour digging into during nap time. But I never got a photo and now my kitchen is in full on dinner mode. So in all it’s glory. I cook multiple meals a day and I clean up and wash my dishes by hand and I am damn grateful for it all!!!! #nothingisperfect#kitcheninspiration#welllivedin#wellcookedin#nourished ps. I couldn’t do any of this without my hard working man doing his part 👊🏻 lifting you up love! Thank you!!!! @lu_rubino
