A mother and her baby, I mean, is there anything more precious than this moment right here? 😍

// let's celebrate the love //

I went grocery shopping soaked to the bone last night after I (we) spontaneously ended up waste deep in the ocean during this shoot. That's just what you'll need to expect if you're shooting with me 😊
This mama bride rocked up to the ceremony in a taxi, with her dapper kiddo next to her and her baby girl in her arms. Now that's arriving in style. I've got so much respect for this supermom. (PS: I'm sure there was a baby car seat involved too, so don't freak out about the "in her arms" part)
Although my style and technical skills have evolved a lot over the past 10 years since I started as a wedding photographer, there are some things, some recurring themes if you will that I - looking back - can see already existed way back then.
One of them is my eagerness to put humans in relation to the magnificence of nature.
What are you attracted to as a wedding photographer? what do you keep returning to, keep capturing or creating?

Cheers to frolicking around in the rain in love. Let’s talk about how dirty our wedding dresses got on our wedding days. My husband and I walked hand in hand through the forest in the rain. Yeah, my dress had a layer of mud around the perimeter, but the experience and the photos were 100% worth it to me. After my dress went into the back of my closet, those incredible photos and experiences are what we’re left with to remember the best day of our lives! Also, life hack..I washed my dress in the bathtub with some oxy clean and it turned out as good as new.
Do you sometimes fear that you may not have what it takes to be a successful wedding photographer because you just feel OVERWHELMED and everyone you look up to make it look so effortlessly easy?
I certainly did when I first started in wedding photography 10 years ago! There was so much to learn. And most of it I didn't even know I had to learn. I saw all these people online, some of them even started their business after me, who were creating amazing work, travelling the world, and seemed to have it all together, the best clients, really high prices etc.
I felt so alone.
I promise you, no one finds this job easy. But if you apply yourself and learn a few basics that you can then build your own unique vision on, then you WILL get better at it.
If you are sitting right now feeling alone or overwhelmed, not knowing where to start, hop on over to my website via the link in my profile and sign up to my email list where I each week share free digestible pieces of my 10 year long hard earned knowledge as an international wedding photographer.
See you there?
I hope you have a beautiful spring like weekend ahead of you !

Despite harsh sunshine being my worst enemy, Sarah and Prav totally rocked this 5 PM light.
Current mood: absolutely heartbroken that we and Melbourne are splitting up in 13 short weeks. Completely joyful that we'll see our dear Norway again soon. Very conflicted indeed! I've got such a confused concept of home.
I originally recorded a Friday Introduction in Iceland on the glaciers and I messed it up with the timing :(. This Friday, I want to introduce someone else...my man, Sam!!! This guy travels with me everywhere! I met him when I was 22 and we have been inseparable since. A lot of people asks if he shoots with me, the answer is no haha he doesn't know anything about photography at all! He only knows real estate investments haha. But he's learning how to take photos of me with my camera, reluctantly :). Together in Iceland, we've visited some extraordinary places such as the lava cave, Kirkjufell that looks like a pointy mountain, walked on glaciers, saw the northern lights together for the first time and visited our fave - the ice cave! Can't say he's the easiest person to travel with, but if I can find him bananas, apples and chicken, then he's one happy man! Which adventure shall we embark on next? #icecaves#jokulsarlon#icelandtravel#icelandphotographer#fridayintroductions#mystopover

I can’t tell you guys how friggin excited I am to meet and hang out with all my couples this year ❤️ I only have a few dates left in 2018 and I’m starting to book up for 2019 as well so send me a message asap if you’d like me to be a part of your day x
After I got up this morning, I realized that I've been MIA here for almost one month. Unbelievable. And I don't even know a good reason for it. Probably just.. life happened and I had better things to do than posting on Instagram. I'm sorry guys (but it was actually an amazing month). However, to catch up a bit and fill my feed as well as my website with new photos, I'm gonna start a little blog post marathon tomorrow. So get prepared for at least four stories this week and some more next week. Have a great evening and see you tomorrow ;-)
