❗️READ IF YOU’RE AFRAID TO LIFT HEAVY❗️
🧠This is how I typically train on my main lifting days: I prioritize compound movements because they burn the most calories (more muscles used=more calories burned) and it’s just so satisfying to feel strong!
🧠Ladies, don’t let the fear of muscle gain and “getting bulky” get in the way of your incredible potential.
🧠Ask yourself: “How much better will my quality of life be if I become physically stronger? What will life be in the future if I don’t invest time and energy into my ONLY body?”
🧠Remember, eating in a huge surplus (more calories than burned daily) will put more mass on you, always. Just don’t worry at all about getting big. Men have WAY more testosterone than us ladies, giving them the genetic advantage of building muscle over us. And YET a lot of them still struggle to put on extra muscle mass over time. -
❓I’m curious: if you’re a female and have thought that lifting heavy WILL make you manly and bulky/stocky, how did you come to that conclusion/belief? Where/who gave you this information? My mission is to dispel all those myths and encourage women to become stronger every day. Comment below!

I’ve brought myself out of the depths of despair & constant disappointment from unmet expectations. I lived my life expecting others to make me happy, constantly feeling wronged & unjustified, constantly focusing on their behavior instead of my own. I began to exhibit that same behavior I so loathed. I’ve spent many months in near isolation, reflecting on myself, dissecting my thoughts & my choices. I’ve learned that without self-love and self-care, we can never adequately love or care for someone else. We will grow murderous with disappointment expecting someone else to make us happy. My darkest place was actually my redemption. The wind cannot defeat a tree with strong roots.
I’m at the end of my week where my feet are screaming and my calves burn.
But don’t let that fool you, I wouldn’t change it for a thing! What’s important to me is seeing the end goal and striving for it.
I’ve got a semester of hard work ahead of me but I’m not about to give up. 💪🏼💪🏼📚📝 ————————————————————————
Today I wanted to share some tips on how to draw from a reference picture. It might seem trivial for some people but I'm sure it'd be helpful for others. You can also use the structure that you get from the ref to create a cartoon character with a similar body pose.

I have never in my life found myself in a situation where I've stopped work and said, 'Thank God it's Friday.' But weekends are special even if your schedule is all over the place. Something tells you the weekend has arrived and you can indulge yourself a bit. 🎮🐻🐾 (Helen Mirren) #woof
