With so many "influencers" in the world, the art of the true "leader" has been partially lost. Influence is powerful, but leadership gets people and teams where they need to go. So what does it actually mean to step into that role and what does it take to be successful at it? 🤔
A true leader:
is responsible for all successes and failures of his/her team.
is willing to do any and all tasks that need to be done.
trusts his/her people while expecting nothing.
makes the hard decisions for the team's best interest.
is willing to "eat last" and make personal sacrifices.
is trustworthy, direct and honest in all situations.
knows his/her team on a personal level.
has faith in his/her beliefs.
admits when he/she is wrong.
is always striving to learn and grow.
is confident in the moves he/she makes.
makes his/her vision clear to instill the same drive and passion.
lives for a greater cause than making money.
is not forceful, but pushes team members to always be their best.
is selective of those allowed into the circle.
is always helpful and reliable, yet assertive.
Whether you're currently in a leadership role, or just starting an entry-level position, these qualities will take you far. I was always taught growing up that you should always know your role, be respectful, but have the mindset of the boss, and nothing will ever stop you. 👊⚒ •
