Week 10 Day 1
I've got a 10 week training plan😁.
For those who followed my HM journey : you know how I like having training plan.😁😁😁
Today is the first day : yeah 🎉
I started running...and realised I completely forgot what the plan said. So off I went for an easy 7km with cyclonic wind down the coast....
Come back home. Look at the plan 👀 ....it says 3km easy flat 🤔 can't be right🤔 The race is supposed to be hilly ⛰ ...damn....
I've already screwed the plan. 😋😁

So much for that garmin ‘superior’ VO2 max! Nothing but gonski in this pic with lungs burning and thoughts of just hang in, it’s nearly over running through my head! (And breakfast pleeeeaase just stay where you are... 🙏) 40 sec slower than last year but still happy with the run knowing I couldn’t go any quicker. A great little run from Albury to Wodonga with all money raised going to Albury/Wodonga health! Over 4000 entrants! 17 musical acts....It’s a thing! Great job to the organisers and volunteers! #city2city#melbourneinstarunners#marathontraining#runnerslife#runbecauseyoucan
Fantastic @runningtoursmelbourne run this morning taking Vanessa from Queensland on our Yarra Sunrise Tour. Melbourne put on a great show this morning and it was a pleasure to show another keen runner around our beautiful city. If you’d like to book a tour follow the link in my bio or check out our website. We would love to show you around our favourite parts of Melbourne.

Tonights run was brought to you by "quickly running away before the kids realise Im gone and they get hungry." (Dad was home so dont panic 😅)
Had about a 30 minute window so took it!.
25 mins with hilly bits...that look like pebbles on strava - but they got the legs working.

My handwriting is shit but the message is clear. "If the commitment is to a long-term goal and not to a series of smaller intermediate goals, then only one decision needs to be made and adhered to. Clear, simple, straightforward. Much easier to maintain than having to make small decision after snall decision to stay the course when dealing with each step along the way. This provides far too many opportunities to inadvertently drift from your chosen goal. The single decision is one of the most powerful tools in the toolbox." - Coach Sommer
Lets go and get 'er done. #sub3

Pretty much the exact face I was making through my pre-Tokyo massage just then ☝🏼considering I’ve just finished 11 weeks of solid training without once stretching or foam rolling 😬 ... I lay there thinking it wasn’t too bad, until he got to my quads 😩😩 feeling nice & limber now though! 🏃🏻♀️🇯🇵🏃🏻♀️🇯🇵 #6sleepstogo

Yesterday at 5am @goneforarun_ & I set out on the Oscar's 100 Hut2Hut at Mt Buller. At a little after 10am this morning I crossed the finish line 100km & 5600m ascent later which included an 8+ hour layover at Kings Valley Hut when I was too close to cut off last night.
The day started in a painful way for Corey as he rolled his ankle 4km into the run, then battled on through immense pain for 7 hours (and 32km) until he was unable to stand without grimacing and was forced to drop out of the event. From that point I continued on solo.
As spectacular as the scenery was (stay tuned for some upcoming pics) it was absolutely brutal in places. Climbing and descending almost vertical rock walls, skirting across exposed ridgelines, navigating hidden paths under head high tea trees plus gnarled 4wd tracks littered with multiple exposed rocks and boulders... it was tough, but rewarding. #melbourneinstarunners#hut2hut#running#surfcoasttrailrunners#trailrunning#ultramarathon#garminau#coolcoreau#racebling#buckleup#os1st_aus#oscars100#brutalhills#sctr#wrightsocksau#fit#fitness

A RUNNING buddy is more than just someone who runs next to you✨A RUNNING buddy is someone who pushes you, motivates you and supports you through all the joys and struggles of RUNNING✨A regular friend might not always understand the ‘RUNNING addiction’ as runners are so often accused of having, but a RUNNING buddy understands all too well✨They understand the NEED, the DESIRE, and the PASSION to RUN - Courtney Logan
So very GRATEFUL for my RUNNING buddies 🏃🏼♀️J x

When we work with beginner runners, one of the biggest things we can help with is to get their breathing under control. Once that is sorted, you can run soooo much further! You are either in control of your breathing, or it is in control of you! On your next easy run, try taking your watch off and judging what ‘easy’ is using your breathing patterns.

What a beautiful beautiful comeback for @paris.helen , Huck Nutrition’s great friend! Today, Helen completed the STS Manly Dam 20km with flying colors achieving 5th place! Her accomplishment is all the more remarkable when we learn her story of overcoming injury, rehab, recovery, to finally reach today’s milestone! Congratulations and well done, and thank for sharing your inspirational journey with Huck! 💪🏻🏃🏻♀️🇦🇺
Absolutely loved my first crit race. It was fast, intense and left me wanting more. Burnt tickets early chasing down a few breakaways which was so much fun. I was more than happy to sacrifice myself at the front to try and help fellow teammate @lachlanberry.triathlete who took out the win in our D-grade race. Congrats dude on a great race! Not sure if I actually helped or just cooked myself too early... Amazing work by @decaz__ who powered through C-grade to a great 2nd place. Definitely a good fitness test and a great way to improve my bike skills.
Easy long run to the city to meet up with the family for Chinese New Year dinner.
DREAM BIG and WORK HARD to make those DREAMS come true ✨ Now if this isn’t motivation to finish all 6 majors I don’t know what is 😉 One ticked off, 5 more to go 🙌🏻 it doesn’t matter how long it takes, the journey is what it’s all about 😉 and what a journey it will be🏃🏼♀️J x
