As my mates will tell you, I'm no giant. But a pal of mine asked me about the topic so I thought I'd address it.
When searching I found a great article on @testosteronenation a great source of evidence based practise about bodybuilding.
As a taller individual, training requires more energy, coordination, and actual time for each set. Additionally, the increased muscle belly length makes it more difficult to achieve the aesthetic 'size' many people search for.
The article mentioned also provides multiple tips to aid the growth of taller individuals including: 🔺making use of the greater lever arm available - longer limbs allows for a greater mechanical tension placed on the muscle by placing the load at a greater distance from the targeted muscle. 🔺performing pin presses (i.e rest pauses within a rack) prevents excessive shoulder extension required to bring the bar down on exercises such as bench press and helps reduce risk of shoulder injury. 🔺performing lunges and front squats are preferred to the leg press for leg development. With the leg press high levels of ankle mobility are required and often a limiting factor for the taller lifter. It is recommended a front squat aided by heels elevated allows for a preferable torso position (vertical) with facilitation of the movement without limitation from ankle mobility and greater femur length. 🔺Open kinetic chain (OKC) exercises - although machines such as the leg extension receive negative press, due to reports of knee pain in this case... individuals that don't experience pain are encouraged to perform OKC exercises. Again this refers back to the greater lever available to taller individuals = more time under tension and more metabolite build up.

I‘m full of energy and love today and feel like spreading it with my lovely followers. If you‘re having a bad day or going through something that affects you in a negative way. Please always remember - EVERYTHING IS GOING TO GET BETTER! It always will! 🌺 What used to really affect me and made me have a bad day were days where I would just get so upset about things that I couldn’t afford but saw that other people on social media could. I would literally feel so depressed and thought I couldn’t achieve anything in life... But one day I decided to stop waisting so much energy in other people’s life and their success and to focus only on myself and my goals. 😊 I‘m so happy I did, because I haven’t felt this good in a while & it’s not even about money or materialistic things. I know now that material wouldn’t have made me happier, it’s only YOU, that can make yourself happy and the people around you of course! In my case, my family, my boyfriend and the friends that have supported me along the way. Thank you so much & remember after the rain, comes the sun (maybe even a rainbow) ! 🌈🙏🏽
