The left was summer of 2016...that was when I was my smallest on this journey. I've gone backwards but I'm still so happy for the progress that stuck around ❤️. Swipe left for a pre-journey selfie compared to now. #facetoface#facetofacefriday
Relaxing at home after an awesome dinner at Applebees, which I think is well deserved after this run! 😍😱 I haven't run that fast in AGES. A much needed confidence boost 🏃💪😎

#fbf to 2017 #athensmarathon at the finish line where once more I realized and confirmed the importance of always having fun enjoying every moment and to do “your thing” no one ever looked stupid for being happy “Do your thing. Do it unapologetically. Don’t be discouraged by criticism. You probably already know what they are going to say. Pay no mind to the fear of failure. Its far more valuable than success. Take ownership, take chances and have fun. And no matter what don’t ever stop #doingyourthing . “
Action shot from the Mt Dora half marathon ! I ran this race the last two years! Last year I got 2nd overall and the year before I got 1st. Even though I’m not ready to race a half, I was so tempted to run either Mt Dora(Sunday) or Jacksonville which is tomorrow(home to my half PR!) Anyway, serious FOMO going on right here. Lol. I will be running a 5k tomorrow as part of my long run. Just trying to get back in shape so I can run all these amazing races. I think I might have a problem, but I guess I could have worse problems. Right? 😂🏃🏼♀️❤️

Another evening run - 4 mi at 8:35/mi - Longing for longer days which is why I Love summer running so much!

What an awesome email to find! I’m joining the @rungum#runsquad as a 2018 Ambassador! I’ve struggled for awhile to find an energy source and fuel for my workouts that doesn’t upset my stomach (sensitive stomach here 🙋🏻♀️). I can chew this before a run or HIIT workout and it gives me the right amount of energy without the jittery feeling. Excited to see what 2018 has in store! #runtheday

It’s FRIDAY!! Let’s get a woot woot for that! 😜🙌🏻😂 Got out for a quick (ok not that quick actually 😆) run today. Got my new heart rate monitor and I’m loving it! 😍 Tried to stay in an easier zone today (139-156 bpm) but going up some of those hills pushing a stroller had me closer to 165-170 bpm 🤷♀️😥 I’m interested to see what it will be when I’m not pushing a little one 😜🏃🏼♀️☀️ Happy Friday everyone! 💗
This morning started out rough. I was tired and cold. At mile 3, I finally hit a stride and went right past my planned 5 and finished 6 instead with a smile. Some days you just have to push past the suck to find the glory.

OOOOHHH BOY what a Friday!!! I sat at my desk soooo long today my back hurts haha!! Being able to work from wherever I normally am up and moving around a ton but since we just launched a new 80 day workout program I was SO focused on helping so many people get the info which equaled so many emails!!! And I freaking LOVED it 💪🏽💕 gosh I love what I do so much!! Friday's in corporate America I was counting down soooo hard to 5:00 and today it flew right past while I was doing what I love!
BUT also don't think just because you love something that it comes easy, you still gotta put in the WORK!! The work just doesn't seem like work when you enjoy it 💕
A glorious 4 mile run this morning 😊Love days like this where it feels so enjoyable being outside feeling the fresh air. Everyday I get to run is a gift! 🎁 Spent the rest of the day with my family and eating cupcakes 🍰💕 #runlikeagirl#runnersofinstagram#runnerslife

Be OBSESSED with who HE says you are.
You might be saying...
I can't do this for me.
I’m too busy with my family, my job, my commitments. .
You might doubt that if you did stop to take care of you it wouldn't matter.
This is YOU saying who you are.
Let me tell you what He says...
•YOU are enough
•YOU are beautiful right now, today, everyday
•YOU are loved
•YOU are worthy
•YOU are forgiven
•YOU have a purpose. .
Be OBSESSED with who HE says you are. .
The way you do that is simple...
take care of YOU, and let God do the rest.
Show up for yourself daily & watch what He will do.
So proud of my client @whilleruns.pnw !
She killed her first speed workout (ever) on the track last night and she did it with a smile on her face ☺️
It was her first time running under 9s for 4.5 miles.
So proud of her & cant wait to see her times improve! 💪🏽❄️🏃🏽♀️ #latergram

You know what I see in this picture? I see a woman who decided to do something she thought she couldn’t. I see a woman that knows how strong and determined she is. I see passion, fire and the will to succeed. My first half on the left and my first full on the right. I am proud of myself! #marathon#halfmarathon#runner#runnersworld
Because it’s Friday and I have quite a few new friends here this week so let me give a quick #fridayintroductions !
1. I literally LIVE for what I call “ arctic mascara” and it’s one of my simplest joys of running in Alaska’s winter ( today was my first this season so I’m pummpppped) 2. I spend every run listening to podcasts - Jen hatmaker, Oprah , happy hour with Jamie Ivey, run like a mother , journeywoman , etc.-and the combo of those are just a light to my day 3. I still want to be Kelly Ripa when I grow up , or at least her BFF 4. I’ll never be the fastest runner or the best photographer but 100% see both as forms of worship that the lord has gifted me and feel whole when doing both to my personal best ability for that day . 5. I currently have a true addiction to LaCroix that needs to get under control ASAP 😳
Tell me something about YOU that I don’t already know !

Is this some sort of ab exercise I haven’t learned yet? #fitbaby
It's Friday!! Thank goodness! Who else had a long week? Nothing was bad about my week necessarily it just went by super slow. So to celebrate Friday and the beautiful weather in Denver I ran 4 miles outside middle of december...in shorts and a long sleeve. HAPPY FRIDAY! #tgif
WARNING: When you have to squeeze in your run between a meeting that ran late and volunteering at your kids’ school, you might run a little faster than planned! 😳 3.2 miles - 9:28, 8:59, 8:36, 8:04 (last .2) 🔥 I threw on this @avia.official top + tights to take the kids to school and didn’t have time to change into anything else. It ended up being the PERFECT running outfit for today’s weather! 💚
Side pockets?! Oh yeah! 🙌🏻 Just another reason to love @belcorva_clothing capris! 💙 Don’t forget to enter my Belcorva giveaway ending at 12:15PM EST TODAY! Just look for the image from earlier this week that says GIVEAWAY and enter on that image! 🎉

3 miles, 37 weeks & 5 days pregnant 🤰🏼 Still running, still very pregnant 😂 Over the past week or so I have started running every other day and walking 30-60 min on the days I am not running. It’s a manageable schedule for me and keeps me motivated! 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️ #37weekspregnant#pregnantrunner#runningfortwo
Another beautiful day here in the Sunshine State😎 It was about 60° when I got started, and I have to admit I was actually a little cold at first wishing I had worn long sleeves😂
I have been really enjoying all these easy runs, but I must say I do miss the structure of training and I'm eager to get back at it. My next marathon is in May and I've got a few shorter races planned for March and April, so I'll get rolling after the holidays. For now, I'm using this time to recover from my back to back marathons this Fall, work on my form, and build strength 💪🏃

Whelp, better than nothing I suppose!
Thanks to work, a morning run was not an option (which was a total bummer because I'm missing my #runsquad like crazy). So plan B was run on my lunch break, but when I went to change into my run clothes, I realized I had forgotten my sports bra😲 So much for that then! My only options were to skip it for the day (not happening) or try to squeeze it in after work. So plan C it was! Left work, picked up the kiddos then got a quick treadmill run in while they did their homework and told me about their day🤓😊 Not the run I hoped for today but it's better than nothing and my kids had fun hanging out with me while I was on the 'mill, so I'll take it!
In other news, I'm super stoked my #runec shirt came in❤ Just a little over a month until I begin training for my 12th marathon, the Eau Claire Marathon🏃
Train by effort or train by pace? My post from yesterday sparked some interesting conversation on this topic. I train by effort level, with a range of paces I’d ideally like to fall within. The only exception is Marathon pace running because the goal there is to get your body used to that pace. I train on effort for three reasons:
1️⃣ I never know exactly what my current fitness level is so I don’t want to sell myself short by running to slowly, or overdo it by pushing too hard.
2️⃣ It takes the pressure off. The most important thing about training is that you actually DO it and worrying about hitting paces can create unnecessary stress.
3️⃣ My body is not a machine. Some days I might run mile repeats at 6:45, while other days might be 6:35. It all depends on what my body can do that particular day, and weather also plays a role. My tempo pace in the summer is slower than my tempo pace in the winter.
How do I know what effort level? My coach typically prescribes an effort level (like 5K effort) or simply says something like “hard”. I’m experienced to know that “hard” doesn’t mean as hard as possible and that I need to be able to get through the entire workout, ideally finishing really strong. I also used to train with a heart rate monitor (5 years) and I knew all my zones. So that has helped me to know what “easy” should feel like and what threshold should feel like. How do you train?
“In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:6 🌱 ever feel like you need to have it all figured out, like you need to have the next five years of your life mapped out perfectly? Or maybe that’s just me. 🙋🏻♀️ I’m a chronic planner who can sometimes feel like the future is all up to me. Babies, career, moves, marathons, even vacations — sometimes it feels like if I don’t figure it all out now, it will never happen. Do you ever struggle with that fear too? But, the truth is that my future isn’t mine to plan. I can dream and work and hope and pray but the reality is that i am only given today, and I want to steward the season I’ve been given, instead of wishing for the next phase of life or putting all of my hope in the next “big thing”. Lately, our sweet Jesus has been teaching me to trust in His plans and to surrender my own. He’s been stretching me to enjoy today and to live it well, and to be content with not knowing what the next 5 years (or heck, even tomorrow!) looks like. It’s a wild adventure, this trust and surrender, but man, I know in my heart that it’s worth it. His plans are always far better than mine. 💕 Happy Friday, everyone! 😘
