PIZZERIA HEUBODEN at Chesa Veglia: Air-dried deer bresaola with porcini and olive oil. Wild roe have a varied diet - they seek out herbs, brambles, berries, young leaves and tree shoots - making their meat more flavoursome. Tender bresaola and nutty porcini with a drizzle of EVOO was a simple combination which showcased the quality of the ingredients, simply 😋
[swipe] Needless to say, got to have🍕at a pizzeria - Diavolo done right, served with sweet peppers, spicy salami and a soft egg on top 😋 Who else likes an egg on top?

Everyone in Switzerland who’s old enough remembers the media coverage around the terrible event on August 18th 1993, when the jewel of Lucerne suffered a devastating fire – sparked by a single cigarette. Of 147 ancient paintings, only 47 survived the blaze, and only 30 were successfully restored❣️🍀 The restoration of the monument cost the city about 2 million Swiss francs. Fortunately the landmark was saved, and remains one of Switzerland’s most famous tourist attractions♥️🇨🇭

Part of the bridge is called the “Water Tower”, not because it holds water but because it stands out over the water. The tower is older than the bridge by some 30 years and throughout history has been used as a prison and also as an archive for the city. Today it's unfortunately closed to the public.
