The ancient way to say 'HAPPY DOCTORS DAY' 💛
Today is Dhanvantari Jayanti, Dhantrayodashi, the day of the incarnation of Lord Dhanvantari, the god of health and medicine. Dhanvantari emerged from the Ocean of Milk and appeared with the pot of amrita (elixer for immortality) during the story of the Samudra (or) Sagara Mathana whilst the ocean was being churned by the Devas and Asuras, using the Mandara mountain and the serpent Vasuki. He is regarded as the physician to the gods. He is often shown with a leech in his hand rather than the scriptures. He is worshipped widely as the blessing deity by all medical professionals, traditional and modern; and his anniversary is celebrated as an informal Doctors’ Day in the country.
As per Ayurveda legends, Divodas, the ascetic king of Varanasi from around year 1500 BCE, is also considered an incarnation of Lord Dhanvantari. He taught Ayurveda to his disciples including Sushrut (the all time greatest surgeon), Nimi (the best known ophthalmic and ENT surgeon) and Kaankaayan, the scholar coming from the Balkans who spread Ayurveda far and wide. These disciples became the first batch of specialist surgeons in Ayurveda, who were also a first in using many ahead-of-the-time practices, including sterilization, anaesthesia, absorbable sutures and a lot more.
So wishing all Ayurvedians, a happy and healthy year ahead!
Stay Healthy, stay Happy

If you're like me and you don't drink a lot of water, try getting one of these bigass tumblers. The boyfriend got me one yesterday and I've chugged down an equivalent of 2-3 pitchers of water today. This baby will keep your drink cold for hours. Definitely a great purchase. 👍🏻 I put my own post-workout mix of water, with a hint of peach tea, and 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. It's so good. 🍑 #fitness#workout#wellness#health
Let people say whatever they want and mind your own business 🙏🏻 especially when you know how hard you’ve worked to get where you are.
I wasn’t always that confident and happy with myself. I had to realise I have a problem and I need to find a solution. It was not that much about the way I looked, the problem was with the way I felt: back pain, swollen legs, always tired. How I look now is only the bonus, the real reward is that I managed to resolve the other issues 👌🏻. In case you still live in denial please wake up as this could be the decision that changes you for life.
