“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the Universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don't just give up." Stephen H.
I’m super inspired by practicing tandem Slack lately! Here are some snippets from the tandem slackline video @slacklinejosh and I made the other day! To see the full YouTube video go to the link in my Instagram bio!

Flinch (verb): To draw back or shrink, as from what is dangerous, difficult, or unpleasant.
That moment on the edge immediately before scooting out, when my heart, my mind, and my soul are all flinching, if not my body. The “flinch” is a habit. It can be reprogrammed by a (long and exhausting) process of “training yourself to flinch forward...
respond to challenge by pushing ahead instead of shrinking back... Your world becomes a series of obstacles to overcome, instead of attacks you have to defend yourself from.”
“The Flinch” by Julien Smith is an ebook I downloaded in my teens because it was free. The biggest way it affected my life then was to start turning the shower to piercing cold at the end just for “training.” For what I didn’t know. Maybe this. Maybe every moment since that conscious decision to turn the water to the coldest setting after every shower was setting me up for every moment like this.
