#TransformationTuesday That girl on the left... she was something else. That was the first gym selfie I posted on Instagram that showed more than the neck up. 😂 I had 0 confidence when I started my journey, and that picture is from 5 months into it. Yes, I was standing tall and proud but I was totally faking the confidence. You know.... fake it till you make it? Yeah, it sometimes works for me. The girl on the right... she’s a totally different beast. No faking anything. I stood there tall and proud because I am. Not just tall, but also proud of all the work I’ve put in and seeing it pay off. My progress has been slow these last 6 or so months, but I’m not mad. I’m patient. My body is still changing so I don’t care that the scale doesn’t reflect it. I see the muscle starting to peak through in places and that’s exciting for me. 😁 And of course, just when I’m starting to feel like the fit badass I want to be, I take a spill going down stairs and hurt my left knee. 🤦🏻♀️ No gym for a few days. Maybe a week the way it’s feeling today. Just means I REALLY have to dial in my diet in order to not undo the progress I made this last week. I can do that. I myself was a culprit of this 🙋🏼♂️but ever since I’ve started stretching out Glutes, Hamstrings and Hip Flexers, my leg strength has got better and better!
Stretching also helps with even muscle growth! In bodybuilding symmetry is just an important if not more so than overall muscle development imo so to ensure I’m developing a symmetrical physique, stretching has become a vital part of my weekly routine!!
