I recommend you all give it a whirl...This weekend I went to a mindfulness daylong retreat at UCLA** Setting Conscious Intentions for Our Lives in 2018 with Deborah Eden Tull**. The workshop was exactly what I needed to get me on the right track for the year. I have more clarity on the limiting beliefs I’ve been carrying around Weekend at Bernie’s status. We made a declaration for the year, not a resolution. Which I thought was a profound difference. Seems like when you declare shit you’re standing like Captain Morgan and when you trying to resolve shit you’re sitting hunched over like frustrated at a math problem.😂 So I choose to go full force.. with one knee up, foot on the back of whoever is in my fucking way! I’m the ruler of my destiny✔️Onward my friends💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 my first Mindfulness meditation class tomorrow! So excited! 🧘🏾♀️ I’m already there!

Hey guys!!! I just wanted to let anyone out there who is struggling with adult acne, that @cerave has saved my skin. I never really had a skincare routine growing up but my skin was usually clear. So as an adult when I started to get acne I was like 'what the actual fuck?!?!' Any who my wonderful, fantastic, sister @tricialake recommended @cerave to me and my skin has looked amazing ever since. This is me no makeup, no filter, no retouch. Styrketräning är grymt för formen. Det har jag visat innan, men jag visar det igen. Dessa jeansen var obekvämt tighta under senhösten och innan jul. Nu börjar de att hasa ner och jag behöver istället dra upp dem istället. Helt utan löpning eller en massa powerwalks. Eller ännu värre, morgonpromenader. Inte en enda morgonpromenad! Jag tränar så tungt jag orkar och ser till att få i mig tillräckligt med protein, så tycks resten lösa sig. .

#34weekspregnant today omg!!!!! 🤰🏼baby Gray is the size of a cantaloupe or a Savoy cabbage 🍈 he should weigh around 5 lbs or so, not sure though haven’t had an ultrasound. But he’s definitely growing as you can see by my belly! Everything keeps developing rapidly to get ready for life outside my womb. He moves around like a wild man!
I feel GREAT! I love my growing belly and feeling him move around is the absolute best part of pregnancy. I have gained 17 pounds total so far, i am soooo happy with that!!!!! Perfect amount for ME so far. Everyone is different though, so don’t compare. Still lifting 5x per week and cardio almost daily. Getting anxious about cleaning and buying everything we need and getting hospital bags ready but that’s about it. Not nervous for labor whatsoever, I’m actually so excited and so ready! Things are a tad more uncomfortable though due to the growing belly but nothing crazy. Still wearing all my same size gym clothes which is cool. I truly have loved pregnancy but I’m also excited for a break and the next chapter of actually having my baby in my arms!!! 😍😭♥️👶🏻 @mattogus lets do this babe
Trying to build your lower half but hitting a plateau?
When it comes to leg day, the first thing most people think of is traditional exercises like heavy squats, leg extensions, ham curls and other exercises performed in a slow manor; the goal being to keep the muscle under tension for as long as possible to create tears and ultimately get bigger during the repair process ( given the diet is correct ). While those exercises are great and effective, our bodies are extremely efficient at adapting to different stimuli. This efficiency, while completely intelligent in terms of its purpose, can be counter-productive and can lead to training plateus. Anyone that's ever tried to put on mass can attest to the frustration lol
A great way to avoid this scenario is to incorporate explosive movements into your repertoire such a squat jumps, lunge jumps , squat jacks and exercises that require a lot of force in a short amount of time. These types of exercises (also know as plyometric training ) help to recruit more muscle by stimulating your type II muscle fibers. Whether your goal is increased hypertrophy ( size ), strength, power or speed : more muscle recruitment = better results 💪🏼.
