When I first got into this fitness thing I always tried to look at other people’s pictures that I would want to look like and tried to catch up to but than I realized that’s crazy my upper left half of my body is paralyzed so why am I trying to look like everybody else? I was born to be different to the best thing that I can focus on is to be the best me possible and embrace and love being different.

Today started off as “one of those days”. My head was down, I was doubting myself and my self-confidence was at an all-time low. It was leg day and I just couldn’t get my head into it no matter what. I felt like leaving.I put my jacket on and almost left the gym.
Until I asked myself, what good will it do if I go home? I asked myself why I started this journey and what is it worth.
I unzipped my jacket and with the help and motivation from @the.squire, We blasted probably the best leg session I’ve had in a long time. He knows exactly how to push your limits.
Today was a life lesson, when something gets you down DO NOT quit. This journey called life will throw everything it has at you, to stop you having what you want. You don’t just get what you want, YOU EARN IT! There is a wall between what you think you can do and what you can actually do, break down that wall and find out for yourself!
The difference between a champion and a quitter is that the SELF DOUBT will always be there, YOU need to control it. The only person holding YOU back is YOU.

When the gym got consistent again about 2 months ago 135lbs felt heavy. That’s when you know you’re gonna have a bad time. 😂 Plus I feel like squats for me are one of the slowest things to move up in weight.
Finally hit 225lbs for a rough single today (almost dumped it 😅) for the first time in what seems like forever. I’d like to drop it another inch or two.
Might take a while but it comes back. Now to get back to repping 225. 😤 #legday#squatsfordays
