Ashkan and Saman are trekking in the mountains nearby Lahijan. The two men live together in a flat in Tehran. Despite their great friendship, they share very different visions on the country they live in and on their future. They’re part of the new documentary I’m working on. Through this project and together with men I’ll follow closely over the next weeks, I explore the notion of identity conflict and the different perceptions they have on Iranian society and the world. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It was quite a mission to get this shot. I left Sacramento at 9 pm and was supposed to get to Yosemite valley by 1 am. Totally doable. It was dark slippery and I was alone. Not to add that I forgot my wallet in the classroom, so I only had cash with me and no ID.
When I arrive in Yosemite at the entrance from highway 120, the road was closed!!
I was tired and discouraged. However, I turned around and back tracked about an hour and 15. I decide to take the back roads, which made the trip shorter, but I was pretty scared lol.
Finally, I get to 140 and arrive at tunnel view at 4:14 am. I get some night shots and take a nap in the Jeep!
Get ready for some Yosemite snow shots❄️.

📷: @davieg8 "This was taken at Tunnel View from my first visit to Yosemite National Park last August which was a dream come true to me. It's by far one of the most beautiful sceneries I've ever seen. I was there with 2 Sony cameras, a7R II & a6000 with a wide angle lens attached to one and a telephoto to the other to make sure not to waste any time changing lenses so and not to miss any moment.." | a6000 | Sony 55-210mm @ 55mm | f/8 | 1/1250 | ISO 500 |

Photographer @tony.bennett takes a look back at last year's #SonyKandoTrip 👉🏽 "My favorite trip last year, hands down, was Sony Kando Trip 1.0. Meeting so many long time Insta friends face-to-face and creating together for a few days was the obvious highlight, but it was also my first time visiting California. As I stood there on this Pacific Ocean beach, I was so in awe of the universe upon seeing the milky way aligned in a totally different direction than it did two thousand miles away back home in Michigan. It's the type of moment which really inspires you to explore so much more of this world we live in." | a7R II | 16-35mm f4 OSS @16 | ISO 5000 | 20 sec |

Always so curious💁🏼♂️ They’ve probably never seen a camera before haha
Thick sea foam, as seen in the video, is a rare phenomenon that can occur after big storms or cyclones. It forms naturally when wind or waves stir the ocean, mixing up the salt water's proteins, dead algae and other tiny particles! 😍
