“They say when you meet the love of your life, time stops, and that’s true.” ~ Big Fish

Yesterday Jenise and Alex got married, and we took advantage of the slight drizzle at the end of the night. It may have been St. Patrick's day, but don't be too green with envy if you didn't get photos like this at your big day.
Steven + Erin read their vows on the edge of a cliff, at Erin’s grandmother’s land in central Tasmania; a place full of history and memories. There were tears, belly laughs and full hearts. Love and joy hugged everyone, long into the night; and the next morning when another feast was presented to fix a few sore heads.
Katrina + Michael // So here’s what happened yesterday. Wind, rain, balmy heat and power outages... but what really happened (and all that mattered), was Katrina + Michael, cool calm and collected, said their “I do’s” at one of the most fabulous wedding venues I’ve been fortunate enough to work at. Great family, friends and food all enjoyed on a nice balmy autumn evening in Langhorne Creek. This will be one to remember. Congratulations guys x
While you are oooooowing and awwwweeing over this absolutely gorgeous and unique floral arrangement by @utah.flowergirl, I just want to tell you how amazing today’s shoot went. I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
Just got back to the hotel after such a full and incredible day with Sam + Lauren. These two are loved so well and today was filled with more hugs than I could count. There were so many fun details that made up their day but for now I’ll leave you with this picture of the giddiest aisle walk because they are FINALLY married!! #albrightalready

time for some real talk with hann. lately I feel like getting on insta feels like more of a chore than enjoyment. what I mean is comparing my own work to other creative’s work is what I find myself doing more often than not. some days I feel super inspired and motivated scrolling through and feel like part of an awesome community, and the next day I get on and I pick and compare and doubt my own work. some days I’ve wanted to just say screw it, sell my camera and go into a different field. some days I find myself wondering why I don’t get to travel all the time and shoot in my dream locations right then and there when I want to be on the go. sometimes I look at other fellow photogs work and want to delete my entire feed. the self comparison game is REAL.
then there are days like the day I had in the pictured above shoot. it was a beautiful day, and I just got to spontaneously message a friend, go out pressure free and create. I got home and immediately started editing the photos because I couldn’t wait. it was a day reminiscent of when I first started photography and was so eager to go shoot and run home to learn more on Lightroom and editing. the truth is, we can all sit here on our phones for hours and pick over our work and beat ourselves up because it doesn’t look like someone else’s, or feel like what we make isn’t adequate. we can compare ourselves to hundreds of photographers, or we can remember why it is we started doing what we love to do, and continue to grow in our craft. I really encourage all my insta fam, both photogs and non photogs to give up the comparison game and find joy in your work and life. be proud of your own craft and brand, remember why you started in the first place and do it for that reason.

Lorilee + Ivan came all the way from Texas to elope in Yosemite National Park. We started their day with a snowy first look, explored around the valley, grabbed lunch in the village, and then they exchanged vows in El Cap Meadow just as it started to snow again. Ivan’s brother officiated their ceremony and their sister-in-law stood by as a witness. Afterwards we all celebrated with cake and champagne and of course, more portraits...it was the perfect elopement day and I can’t wait to share more!
Have a nice weekend everyone ❤ ❤.

One year ago we decided living in a tiny camper pulled by our Subaru full time was unsustainable and we needed to invest in a real home! So we bought an empty cargo van and got to work. Some ladies dream of a man that will build them a big house with a wraparound porch in a swamp...I am glad I found a man that built me a 70-square foot rolling home so the entire world could be my backyard. Living in this van has been such an amazing experience, I can’t wait to see where the next years take us! Huge backyard > white picket fence any day! 👏🏻🚐
