I was scrolling through videos and found this from the eclipse this summer.
I wish the video did it justice just how truly BEAUTIFUL it was.
Isn’t it amazing that when life suddenly takes an unexpected and “dark” turn...that if you can manage to keep your head up something beautiful develops.
And then before you know it....just as quickly as things darken they turn bright again.
Life isn’t always bright and sunny...sometimes darkness very suddenly and unexpectedly strikes.
But if you can focus in the right direction you will always find the silver lining and sunshine right around the corner ❤️
Happy Friday everyone ❤️

This animation of 365 images shows the changing activity of our Sun through the eyes of our Proba-2 satellite during 2017, along with a partial eclipse for good measure.⠀
The images were taken by the satellite’s SWAP camera, which works at extreme ultraviolet wavelengths to capture the Sun’s hot turbulent atmosphere – the corona, at temperatures of about a million degrees. ⠀

Swipe left for the slide show. One of the most exciting 2017 projects was imaging my 13th solar eclipse in August, this time for National Geographic in partnership with @airbnb, on a small private jet from Central Oregon to 45000 ft high in the Stratosphere above the Pacific. As the total eclipse began in this very thin atmosphere the sky became pitch black, almost like being in space. That 2 minutes passed like a second, an amazing moment for our team and the guests.
A few minutes before the moon shadow reached the mainland US, this picture (slide 1) became the first view to the totality across the web and probably the most viewed. NatGeo editors selected it as one of most moving photos of 2017 (link in my highlighted story), as well as one of the most popular images @natgeo. See the link on my today story or google “natgeo 2017 popular instagram”. We also did two NatGeo live webcasts for the event, a Q&A on the day before and live coverage during the eclipse (links on babaktafreshi.com/media). @natgeocreative@natgeotravel#eclipse2017#totalsolareclipse
