Loving my KonMari-inspired packing action! 🍎 I’m attending a 2-day professional development conference, and I’m excited to grow as a teacher (and party with my teacher friends 😁). Using my spacious Longchamp (that doubles as my diaper bag), Eagle Creek packing cube, and Sonia Kashuk roll-up cosmetic bag. I love how the latter two stand upright! 💖 With the leftover space, I put in the essentials that I laid out on the round table. ✨ Personal Touches—I rolled a pair of socks and put it inside the bra’s cup. I placed my cardigan at the edge so that I could easily grab it (AC might be blasting in those conference rooms). There’s also room for a water bottle (gotta stay hydrated). Bringing my own body wash and shampoo cuz hotel ones often make me feel too dry. An extra face mask to pamper my roommate. 💕

I gotta say I’m so much more impressed with these @eaglecreek pack-it cubes than I expected. They’ve taken my efficient packing to a whole new level (and I can put dirty clothes in them instead of the laundry bag at the hotel)!

Don't expect to hike fire-affected trails anytime soon.
The epicenter of the Eagle Creek fire was walled off with police tape and orange-and-white barriers Friday, a reminder of the work that's yet to be done to reopen trails in the Columbia River Gorge.
Rachel Pawlitz, spokeswoman for the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, said the agency doesn't know when those trails will reopen but that it's committed to trying to reopen them as soon as possible. The earliest some trails could reopen is spring 2018, she said, and others will be closed as much as one to two years.
There's also no timeline for reopening the cherished Multnomah Falls area, she said. 📸 by Jim Ryan.
Whether headed to the gym or out of town, the @eaglecreek Cargo Hauler Duffel (60L) is a great add to your travel essentials! My review is up on the blog now 😉 #eaglecreek#bibchat
Every Adventure has a Story: "When i was in college, my physiology class took a field trip to Año Nuevo to help weigh the baby elephant seals. It was an amazing experience and really stuck with me. The Elephant Seals were fascinating and the park was stunning. Here I am, years later, getting paid to hang out here! Thanks to California State Parks, I get to be a person that is happy to go to work every day." -Christen Bechert Docent Coordinator at Año Nuevo State Park.
