The Pine - Twisted Lakes - Tasmania
This beautiful Pencil Pine sits alone on the top of a hill. The stories this pine could tell. Weather, snow, hikers, photographers... It would have seen it all.
A lovely and very special place in this amazing national park.
Cure your Monday-itis with some homemade chocolate! It sounds daunting, but @thebeautyofminimalism made it easily using @eumarrah ingredients. Add cocoa nibs, puffed rice, almonds, hazelnuts, and cranberry! Yum! ✨😋✨🍫✨
Flashing back to February when I hiked the Overland Track in Tasmania. This was the first hut we stayed in at the end of day one, nestled right near Barn Bluff, one of the most well recognised peaks of the track.

Table With a View.
Kitchen Hut isn't too shabby a place to stop for lunch on such a great day. I intended to take my time with lunch (cheeses, salami, brew up a coffee and enjoy my apple raspberry strudel) but the sun was fierce so I wanted to sit inside.
However, every inch of bench space inside was taken up by the packs of people climbing Cradle Mountain and it was a bit disappointing.
But upstairs was clear, so I went up, opened the door and spread myself out. I ended up staying for an hour and a half, hanging my legs out the door and chatting with walkers, sitting and gazing at the mountain and even having half an hour's kip! Such a rare opportunity, but I had several hours to kill before sunset, so I made the most of it.
Where's somewhere amazing you've stopped for lunch, or what's made a meal sensational for you in the past?

Good morning Freycinet! Breathing in the crisp, dawn air from atop Mount Graham with @jackshep on @eastcoasttasmania. This spot offers a unique perspective of the iconic Wineglass Bay, as well as some of the best views of the surrounding National Park. It takes a bit of effort for the well-prepared day-walker, but, as you can see, the rewards are more than worth it! 🗺👣🌅 Thanks for tagging #discovertasmania, Jack! #eastcoasttasmania#seeaustralia#tasmaniaparks

A peaceful, golden start to the day washes over Hobart's Victoria Dock and @ringhole.@hobartandbeyond's waterfront is steeped in a fascinating past: indigenous history, colonial hardship and legendary seafarer's tales. Take the time to wander the streets, buildings and alleys and you'll soon realise why Tassie's capital is regularly described as one of world's great, small harbour cities. ☀️ ⚓️ 😎 Thanks for tagging #discovertasmania, Deni.
