I love everything about this: the Buecher family has been producing wine in Alsace for seven generations; the current generation, two sisters, Amelie and Cecile (how very French!) decided it was time to stop using pesticides (that was in 1997), convert to Biodynamics (completed in 2007) and add a focus on methode champenoise sparking wines. I quite literally cannot remember when I last had this. We must be talking back to my Oddbins days. Why the heck have I left it so long!? It is a cracker!
Lovely straw gold. A hint of toffee and brioche on the nose. The palate is one of the most beautifully sensual experiences I have had in a long time (don't tell my wife). Added to that there is this lovely pert and lively citrus finish. Delicious. I will be buying more!
