The cosmos is dancing. Thinking about all the people that were born and died before me. I feel very lucky being part of a era where we have the technology and ability to capture such beauty. This is why I call my account awe junkie. Because I live for these moments of awe.
"The Pinnacles and the Dark Horse" - A glorious dark beast rising over the Trona Pinnacles, California -May 24 / 17.
This is a 9 exposure panorama taken with the incredible Sigma 50mm Art lens....I bought the lens just for a shot like this and I wasn't disappointed. This was captured in what turned out to be the last 30 minutes of darkness. You know you are having fun when that Milky Way strangely disappears and you realize it's because the sun is on the way and you pulled an all-nighter that felt like two hours :) Nikon D750, Sigma 50mm 1.4, ISO 10,000 for 10 seconds ( all 9 shots)
As sure as the moon falls for the sun every night, I fall for you over and over and I’m so so proud of you @hedltothemetal ☾ 4K video of the waxing crescent moon from 2/18/18 9.5% illuminated at 19:52EST shot with the Celestron NexStar 127SLT + Sony a7sii and sped up 3x #moon#selenophile#moonlovers

Old Faithful erupts about every hour in reality, but you can skip the wait by seeing it every 10 seconds in this timelapse. However, nothing compares to seeing, hearing, and smelling the real thing. So if you ever have the chance to watch it (my recommendation is to go at night), do it!
