This will be a 6 mile trail run up and around the Falls Loop trail on Mt Diablo. This trek will be for Scale Ultra training and for anyone that would like to hike the 6 miles. The trail and scenery are amazing. On the way through, I'll be marking direction at all the forks in the trail, with either a flag or spray chalk. Let's get up.and get moving!
One of the best trail run i've done.
Everything is good from AS, trail route, marker and the weather except for not bringing diatabs. Haha! 😂
Thank you #BeTrailReady for epic crazy races. Always innovating and creative in making beautiful route this year. This one is the best! Wala masyado kalsadang sementado 😍

I've been searching through numerous 50km training plans in preparation for the @stagleaprunningco Elk Valley Ultra in July. Last year didn't go as planned and I want redemption so I'm going to train hard.
There are so many plans out there that I want to fully read through them to see what type of program will work best for me. I may end up mashing a few together and modifying them to suit me too.
If anyone has any must see/try training plans for a technical, crazy mountain 50k, please share!!!

Excelente término de semana con los tremendos resultos en la Maratón Internacional Temuco Araucania 2018 (MITA), dejando las piernas y el esfuerzo de cada entrenamiento en la ruta! 👏👏👏
I must have looked super fast in my @altrarunning gear during the Seabrook Lucky Trail Marathon yesterday, because after the run I had several people come up to me and congratulate for winning the race. They all said, man you were speeding through the course...Haa! I actuality placed 4th over all, 1st in my age group and posted another BQ. My shoe of choice for this race was the new Altra Solstice. Holy cow! At less than 7 oz, these shoes are soo light. The laces on the Solstice give a snug fit in the mid foot leaving plenty of room in the toe box for a comfortable feel. As usual with Altra shoes, blisters were not an issue for me. I definitely recommend the Solstice. www.altrarunning.com/men/solstice
@ the foot of a large fallen elder. My 80lb dog gives perspective. I wish we’d allow these amazing beings to flourish again. I 💚 🌲’s

Mercer Island 1/2 marathon done. Challenging course with great support! Opted to wear my Altra racing flats and they were awesome. Amazing time trying out my team RWB headsweats head band with great moisture wicking. #teamrwb#altrarunning#headsweats
“But trying again in a new way, a less worried way.” This last week was one for the books. And last night as I squeezed in a little run at the end of the day, my mind wandered on what lay before me in life; my goals, school, work, legalities, so many many things with my kids, other family members, responsibilities that seem to increase faster than I can blink, but my heart was content and felt peace. I thought about how impossible some things seem when I only see the distance ahead. When I look at who I want to become, or things I need to do, or deal with or work on it can all feel like an insurmountable load and burden.
But. I thought of how when I simply take each moment, not even the entire day, but THIS moment, and asked myself “I am doing my best in this moment? Am I really trying right now? Am I believing and trusting right now?” I let go of worry for things that lie ahead. And as I thought about that I heard a quote in the book I was listening to that ran right along with my thoughts. In the book, “The Atoning One” by Robert Millet, he recites this quote by C. S. Lewis: “I know the words ‘leave it to God’ can be misunderstood, but they must stay for the moment. The sense in which a Christian leaves it to God is that he puts all his trust in Christ... And, in yet another sense, handing everything over to Christ does not, of course, mean that you stop trying. To trust Him means, of course, trying to do all that He says. There would be no sense in saying you trusted a person if you would not take his advice. Thus if you have really handed yourself over to Him, it must follow that you are trying to obey Him. But trying in a new way, a less worried way.” But trying in a new way, a less worried way. So beautiful!
Let's talk ladders...I'm an ultra runner so naturally running Sprints aren't my favorite. However, it's still important to work on speed and agility, explosiveness, footwork, timing, balance, etc. This year my plan is to challenge myself and improve my overall speed, so ladders it is. If you find yourself sticking to the same routines, branch out bc that's where growth happens!! #ocrbyjennifer#runnersofinstagram#motivation
Not a great race for me today. Missed my spear and felt like I was dying on the back half of the course, but I still pushed through as hard as I could (1:47:59). All the running on sand was so exhausting. I am a little disappointed but trying not to be too hard on myself about it. I have my 50 mile race in two weeks and I've already been racing a ton of miles over the past month. Feeling like maybe I am spread a little too thin, so I am still deciding whether I will seek redemption and race again tomorrow or sit it out and rest up for the the upcoming ultra. 🤔
Dude, we crushed that!!!! 10 stroller miles, 515 feet gained of nonstop hills, and all at a 8:37 pace. Set your sites on your goals, work hard, and nothing is impossible!!! Happy Saturday beautiful people - I’m gonna ride this runners high all. day. long!!!!
