I spoke about being more efficient with your time in terms of training which is what I would think many people strive for
From what I have found and thinking in terms of the muscle and nervous system interaction, improving mobility with aspects of strength seems to be most effective
Instead of spending time with stretches and releases you can simply combine your mobility work with strength work. When I say strength I mean in terms of strength in end range. Like any motion we typically have the least strength when the muscle is fully elongated. The nervous system thus puts on the breaks when it feels like going further may not be ideal. Stretching forcefully over rides this. By building strength in those end range positions you in a way ease off those brakes and eventually the brakes engage further in the range
Three simple strength/mobility exercises:
-bridge with hip rotation
-squat with hip rotation
These can be done as a stand alone or are excellent to do before any movement that will require the range (agility sports, squatting, etc)
