“So pumped for the oatmeal bowls at Pure Raw Juice right now, they are so tasty and filling and it’s wonderful to enjoy a warm treat. .
As the winter approaches our body goes through many changes in terms of its cravings, temperatures and sensations. Listen to your body. Fuel yourself with darker color foods/juices, warmer foods and plenty of Vitamin C and water for hydration to stay healthy. .
Join me for one more event to finish off 2017 - 🧘♀️ YOGA & DOG BOWLS 🐶 - Saturday 12/9 at 9am at UAPC ... $21 includes your yoga practice and bowl - we will be donating some of the profits to BARCS animal shelter! Email [email protected] to sign up now.”
On the fourth day of Thrasher Fitness, yours truly gives to you 🎁🎁🎁 TOP 3 FAVORITE GLUTE EXERCISES to build that 🍑. Any of these exercises can be modified to use with dumbbells or kettlebells.
1. Bulgarian squat - grab a bench or a box. One foot up on the box, other foot planted firmly on the ground. You want to have enough of a step out so that your knee stays stacked over your ankle to ensure for more glute activation.
2. RDL- soft bend in the knees. Think about folding the body in half as you push your hips back through your heels. Keep the barbell as close to the body as possible, proud chest, flat back. Don't let the knees collapse as your flex the hip. This is key, so that you don't turn this lift into a normal deadlift.
3. Hip thrust - use a bench if you don't have a machine for this. Use some form of padding to protect the hips. Drive through the heels and exaggerate the squeeze in the glutes at the top. Keep your core tight and rib cage down to make sure that the lower back does not assist in this movement.

After hurting my back over 1.5 years ago, and 1 full year of almost no squatting, I am finally getting back to where I was before on a back squat! 155 #! 1RM from pre-Injury is 160 # only 6 more to go before it's a lifetime PR💪🏼thanks so much to @thrasher_fitness for helping me get back to this! And @abbyschooms for all the PT help. #thrashertraining#uapc
Speedy conventional deadlifts today w/ bandz. Taking the next couple weeks to just feel better with weight in my hands and creating tension of the floor. #uapc#deadlift#ua#powerlifting

@joler2 getting an in-season strength workout in this morning. Jules worked extremely hard this summer to prepare for the season. Just because and athlete is in season doesn't mean they should give up a progressive strength training approach. Here Jules is using chains for accommodating resistance to overload the top of the lift with an emphasis on bar speed. #volleyball#ndpvolleyball#uapc#deadlift#getstrong
