Whether it be a Boxing, Muay Thai, or a BJJ gym, you learn respect. Respect for the incredible amount of patience and time spent to perfect even the most basic of skills. In these gyms, you also learn hierarchy in terms of skill. It humbles you. I’m extremely grateful to have these disciplines engraved into who I am as a person.

Century-old trees along the highway in Carcar City are strikingly beautiful. 📍Cebu 🇵🇭
What inspires your creativity? That question has haunted me for the past year.
At times I would find myself in some of the most beautiful places around the US and have no desire to take photos. Sure sometimes I would force myself to pick up the camera, and some those photos I would even like but there was ZERO inspiration or creativity involved.
As someone who loves to travel and be in the wilderness it just didn’t make sense how I could be doing both of these things I love and still not be inspired.
It wasn’t until recently that I realized passion is not equal to inspiration.
Passion is what you love to do, inspiration is what makes you pursue what you love. The greater the inspiration, the more you can fulfill your passion.
For me, inspiration is drawn from the dirtbag lifestyle, people who rebel against all traditional means of comfort in order to get intimate with their wild nature. This is when a simple rock in the middle of WY paints itself against the noon sky like a perfectly lit sculpture. This is when my passion and inspiration find perfect harmony.
