Happy Spring, Everyone! "For behold, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone." (Song 2:11) I love spring! I love to see new life springing up everywhere. Especially after a cold, harsh winter. The Song of Songs, in its symbolic interpretation, is a gorgeous moving picture of the LOVE STORY between Christ and His bride, the church. In this Scripture, Jesus is telling His bride that the winter rains of the LAW---the system of WORKS-based righteousness---is over!
The GOOD NEWS of the Gospel is that no one has to EARN the righteousness that God FREELY gives. JESUS PAID IT ALL! All we have to do is believe in (receive) Jesus in order to ENJOY the ETERNAL spring of FAITH-based righteousness (John 3:16; 19:30; 1 Cor. 6:17; 2 Cor. 5:21). Church, you are the righteousness of God in Christ---His GORGEOUS bride---at absolutely no cost to you! And that, my friends, is the BEST NEWS you'll ever hear and believe!

Song of Solomon by Jim LePage. Two designs- one of the lover (her) and one of the beloved (him). This is definitely the spiciest book of the Bible! I love the artist’s tongue-in-cheek illustrations poking playful fun at the unusual ancient terms of endearment and pillow talk found in this sexy book of poetry. The lovers in this book go back and forth complementing each other and pitching some serious woo. If you haven’t read it, check it out for yourself. It might even be fun to read it with the one you love.

“Get up, my dear friend, fair and beautiful lover—come to me! Look around you: Winter is over; the winter rains are over, gone! Spring flowers are in blossom all over. The whole world’s a choir—and singing! Spring warblers are filling the forest with sweet arpeggios. Lilacs are exuberantly purple and perfumed, and cherry trees fragrant with blossoms. Oh, get up, dear friend, my fair and beautiful lover—come to me! Come, my shy and modest dove— leave your seclusion, come out in the open. Let me see your face, let me hear your voice. For your voice is soothing and your face is ravishing.”

Beginilah jadinya kalau orang suka mengartikan Kitab Suci secara literal :)
Betapa cantiknya engkau, sayangku, betapa cantiknya engkau! Seribu perisai tergantung padanya. BUAH DADA-mu seperti dua anak rusa, seperti anak kembar kijang yang tengah makan rumput di tengah-tengah bunga bakung. PUSARmu seperti cawan yang bulat, yang tak kekurangan anggur campur. PERUTmu timbunan gandum, berpagar bunga-bunga bakung. Engkau cantik sekali, manisku, tak ada cacat cela padamu! (Kidung Agung Bab 4 & 7)
Something I did yesterday after completing the Labyrinth "walk" on my fingers. These few days of silent retreat has been really fruitful and enjoyable. My time spent with Him these few days has been so rich and insightful, so much so that I don't feel like leaving. My SD asked me where is Home when I said God is leading me back home. These words came when I placed the plasticine in the middle of the Labyrinth: "Home is where my heart is, Heart is where Love is, Love is where God is, and where God is, there I am.." God is in me, I am in God. This is the seal,my seal which He placed upon my heart. Song of songs 8:6 "Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm;" #seal#songofsongs86#songofsongs#songofsolomon#silentretreat#home#godislove#iamprincesswarrior#iam#labyrinthwalk#labyrinth#insight#centreofmylife
"Pillars of smoke, like silver mist— a canopy of golden glory dwells above it. The place where they sit together is sprinkled with crimson. Love and mercy cover this carriage, blanketing his tabernacle throne. The king himself has made it for those who will become his bride."Rise up, Zion maidens, brides-to-be! Come and feast your eyes on this king as he passes in procession on his way to his wedding. This is the day filled with overwhelming joy— the day of his great gladness."

Small small flowers
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land.

Time for spring. 迎春。春だ！
See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land. The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me.—Song of Songs 2:11-13 (NIV)

You've seen the worst part of me.
You've felt the most painful feeling that I've caused.
You've been taken for granted for so many times.
And yet, You've given me grace I don't deserve. How great is Your love for me 💛
How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how beautiful! Your eyes are doves.
Song of Songs 1:15 NIV .
The boys were in school and nursery this morning so I've spent the morning with God, my bible and craft supplies.
This wasn't the verse I set out to get into this morning but I sort of got stuck on it. .
*Songs of Songs 3:3-4
The watchmen stopped me as they made their sounds, and I asked "Have you seen the one I love?" Then scarcely had I left them when I found my love.
4:9 You have captured my heart
People have defense mechanisms and crutches. Which is to say people learn to make themselves happy or teach themselves to survive when they realize they can't count on others to do that for them.
As a young man its easy to see a young lady with whom youd like to spend time and if she gives you some of her time we want to make "good" into our image of "perfect". The young man says: "I'm trying to help." the young woman hears: "I don't like you because of this, this, and that; so change this, and this, and that!" (Snapping) which triggers more defense.
Instead try telling her what you do like about her give her praise beyond the obvious tell her why you want to invest in her and why you want her to invest in you. (Clapping)
See if things don't go better for ya
